A short boat ride around the local ore jetty is where you will learn a little about what Whyalla is famous for. Enjoy cruising close to massive ships and barges that you will learn a little about how it all works. During cooler months be greeted by the local Long Nosed Fur Seal colony that visit a special spot and allows us amazing photo opportunities while enjoy their funny behaviours.

Depart from the Whyalla Marina boat ramps, head to the blue boat rides flag on the boat ramp elbows. Arrive approximately 10min before departure. Be greeted by your skipper with a short safety brief.

Car parking is available around the Marina car parks free. If you are towing a van or trailer feel free to use the Marina boat ramp car park also free, just leave the closer parks to the boat ramps a priority for boaties first.

Booking Notes

Our tours depart from the Point Lowly Marina daily. We can relocate to the Whyalla Marina at times for departures where the winds provide shelter. If departing from Whyalla due to winds, we will advise you prior departure so please make sure you have provided your contact details when booking. When driving to Point Lowly, please allow 25-30min travel time and drive straight past the large Santos Gas Company. Then you will slow down to 50km/p hr zone and you will see our glass bottom boat tour sign telling you to turn left in 100mt.

Cancellation Policy

Our vessel will depart on departure times advertised. No refunds will be given for missed time slots or late arrivals.

Please allow yourself enough time before departures to reach your destination.

- No refunds if customer cancels less than 24 hours notice prior to departure time.
- Full refunds or credit is offered for cancellations more than 24 hours prior to departure.
- SGA will offer a full refund, or alternate date and time, if the tour is cancelled by us.

SGA has the right to cancel any or all tours if weather is inclement or unsafe to venture.
