Payment policy

1. Payments from Customers

Payments are processed through Paddle Quest LLC using secure third-party processors (e.g., Stripe).
Customers may pay for tours using one of the following options, as set by the Provider when listing the tour:

1. Full Payment via the Platform:
   The Customer pays the total tour price through Paddle Quest LLC. Funds are held in escrow until the tour is completed.

2. Deposit via the Platform and Direct Payment:
   The Customer pays a deposit through the Platform, while the remaining balance is paid directly to the Provider according to the Provider’s instructions.

The selected payment option for each tour is determined by the Provider when the tour is listed. 

2. Holding Funds

- For full payment bookings, all funds are held by Paddle Quest LLC until the tour is successfully completed.
- For deposit-based bookings, only the deposit paid via the Platform is held until completion; the remaining balance is handled directly between the Customer and Provider. 

3. Payouts to Providers

After tour completion, Providers receive:

1. Full Payment via the Platform:
-  Tour Price – 10% Commission – Transaction Fees
-  Funds are transferred to the Provider’s designated bank account.

2. Deposit via the Platform and Direct Payment:
-  Deposit Amount – 15% Commission – Transaction Fees is released to the Provider.
-  The Provider is responsible for collecting any remaining balance directly from the Customer.

The commission rate differs between full payment bookings (10%) and deposit-based bookings (15%) to account for administrative and risk handling.

4. Refunds

Refunds are issued in accordance with the Cancellation & Refund Policy, including:
-  Full refund of all amounts paid via the Platform for cancellations by the Provider or due to force majeure.
-  For deposit-based bookings, refunds include both the deposit via the Platform and any remaining balance paid directly to the Provider, where applicable. 

5. Failed Payments

If a Customer’s payment fails, the booking is not confirmed.
