Booking Notes
Waivers: PLEASE BE SURE TO SIGN YOUR WAIVER ONLINE BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. You will receive a separate email with instructions titled “ACTION REQUIRED FOR YOUR BOOKING."
Arrival: Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour for the mandatory safety training! We cannot hold tours; these seats have been reserved for your group and are unavailable for other bookings. Like an airline booking, if you arrive later than your scheduled flight time, you will be considered a no-show and not eligible for a refund or new seats. Leave ample time to make it to your tour – you don’t want to miss this adventure!
Location: Your adventure starts at 400 Palmetto Avenue, Osprey, Florida.
We are LOCATED at the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast at the Bay Preserve and our tours launch directly from their seawall. As you pull in follow the signs straight towards the Conservation Foundation. You will take a gravel road to where it dead ends and turn right. This will take you into the parking lot.
Parking: Park in any available space in the lot. There is no charge to park. Please meet your guide on foot down at the seawall by following the driveway thru the gates or proceeding along the brick pathway.
Sunscreen or Bug Spray: Please apply sunscreen or bug spray before or immediately upon arrival. We do not allow application immediately before or during the tour due to the environmental impact and both permanently damage the clear kayaks.
Weather: Our team watches the weather closely before your launch as the weather changes quickly in Florida. We still paddle out in the event of rain; however, if unsafe weather conditions occur, our team will decide to cancel or delay the tour. Plan to arrive on time unless notified in advance. If we cancel the tour, you can receive a refund to the original form of payment, reschedule the tour, or receive a gift card. Please dress for the temperature for the early morning, afternoon, and nighttime tours.
Cancellation Policy:
If you did NOT purchase trip protection when booking, ALL SALES ARE FINAL, your booking is not eligible for a refund or to reschedule.
If you PURCHASED trip protection at the time of booking, you can cancel or reschedule up to 12 hours before the tour's start time, less the cost of trip protection and processing fees. Cancellations or rebooking with less than 12 hours notice are considered final sales.
Tipping your guide: Our guides work hard to provide an amazing experience, and cash tips are always welcome. If you have already tipped online, we will ensure your guide is aware!!
Kayaking for conservation: A portion of each booking is donated to manatee conservation.
We foster a commitment to education, stewardship + responsible ecotourism so learn about manatees from our team of Guardian Guides certified by Save the Manatees Club!
Remember that wildlife is wild + it's always a hope never a promise that we will see any wildlife! Nature is dynamic which means color + water clarity can change from day to day.
Since there is the possibility of kayaking with manatees in their home and they are a threatened species we ask that you watch this short video (just under 3 minutes) by Save the Manatees about how to safely operate a kayak around them!
