About
A two-hour sailing excursion on the Rappahannock River that departs at 7:30am ("coffee cruise"), 10am, 1pm and 3:30pm daily. This trip is great for anyone wanting to get out on the water and experience sailing on the River, and can be tailored to your comfort level and experience. Pull lines and crank on winches if you want, or simply relax on the bow taking in the scenery or reading a book.

All of our adventures begin with an introduction to the vessel, our beloved 36’ Columbia Galene, and a safety briefing. We depart from the dock and motor out of the harbor and into the Rappahannock River, where the sailing begins in earnest.
What to bring
You may bring a cooler with your food and beverage of choice, although no glass containers (except a wine bottle) are permitted onboard.
Dress in layers as conditions on the water can be warmer/colder that you might expect from the land climate. Please bring appropriate footwear for the boat, quick drying clothes (synthetic layers are great), sunscreen, and a rain coat (just in case!). There is plenty of room and privacy in the cabin to store your belonging and change clothes. You may wish to bring a camera or smart phone, although we do not assume any liability for their protection from the elements.

- Snacks or a small picnic (or add wine & charcuterie at checkout)
- Soft-soled shoes or sandals (avoid black marking soles)
- Camera or phone for photos
- Towels or personal comfort items
- Gratuity for the captain (appreciated but not required)

If you added wine and/or a charcuterie board, we’ll have your order prepared and waiting onboard upon arrival.
#Restrictions
- Federal law requires that children under 13 wear a lifejacket unless they are inside an enclosed cabin. We provide lifejackets in a range of sizes that your child may use during the trip.
- In accordance with federal regulations, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drug use while aboard.
