**Afternoon charters rock! This 2-tank dive charter usually visits two sites along the Pali (the cliff area between Maalaea Harbor and Lahaina).**
Times
Check in is at 1:00 in the afternoon and we return to the harbor between 5:00 and 6:00.
About
Certified divers will enjoy this trip and at this time, we are only taking out certified divers (no intro divers or snorkelers unless a private charter is booked). These trips are suitable for experienced divers as well as novices and our crew does their best to group divers according to experience level with the goal of providing the best trip for each type of customer! Light snacks, juices, sodas, and water are provided.
**Note** If it has been more than two years since your last dive, the Maui Diamond requires that you take a guided dive or a refresher ahead of time or hire a private guide for your boat dives.
**Do you need rental gear? No problem! We can provide you with a BCD and regulator (and whatever else you may need) for just $30.**
**Snorkeling on this Trip**
Snorkelers are absolutely welcome! To meet safety requirements and Coast Guard regulations, a private in-water guide is required for all snorkelers - even those who are confident and experienced in the ocean.
**This adds a $299 guide fee per snorkel group.** If you're booking more than one snorkeler, please call us so we can make sure you're only charged for one guide, not per person.
If you're open to sharing your guide and others sign up to snorkel the same day, we're happy to split the cost - just let us know!
**DIVER MEDICAL FORM REQUIRED:** All certified divers are required to complete a medical history form and some will be required to obtain their physician's release to participate in scuba diving. Here’s what else you need to know about your upcoming trip aboard the MAUI DIAMOND:
**BRING** your certification card, a reusable water bottle, a towel, your reef safe sunscreen, and a jacket for your surface intervals (afternoons can be extra windy). You MUST be prepared to have fun!
**THERE IS A REQUIRED MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE IN YOUR WAIVER** Certified divers should view their waivers well ahead of time in case a physician's release is required to participate in scuba diving. Divers who are required to obtain a [medical release](https://mauidiamond.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/DiverMedicalForm.pdf) to dive and who show up without one (or with one that is incomplete) will be welcomed aboard as passengers but will not be able to dive and will not be refunded. We'd rather get to take you diving, so please get this done! **If you are booking for others, it is your responsibility to provide your dive buddies with the waiver link ahead of time.**
**REMINDER TO ANYONE DIVING:** You need at least an 18 hour surface interval after diving and before flying or traveling to elevation (for example, zip line tours or visiting Haleakala), so please plan accordingly.

Cancellation Policy
**We have a strictly enforced 48 HOUR CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULE POLICY:** There are no refunds for anything changed or cancelled within 48 hours of your check-in time unless we are able to rebook your spaces. Think of these reservations like concert tickets; if you can’t go, you either sell your tickets (in this case, we work to sell them for you) or you forfeit the money you paid for your tickets.
**Medical Release May be Required** Certified divers should view their waivers well ahead of time in case a physician's release is required to participate in scuba diving. Divers who are required to obtain a medical release to dive and who show up without one will be welcomed aboard as passengers but will not be able to dive nor will be refunded for their spot. **The person making the booking is responsible for sharing the waiver with everyone else on the booking.**
We cannot guarantee specific dive sites; all locations are dependent on weather conditions. Therefore, we do not issue refunds if we have to divert to a different site than the one planned for the day.
