About
At Kewalo Basin, most of the charter fishing companies work together to ensure everyone makes it out on the water. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee your experience will be with us, but will say it’s a fun and affordable way to go fishing and meet other anglers from around the world. To assign each angler to a rod, we draw cards as we leave the harbor. After each fish is fought, each angler’s rod moves clockwise to keep things fair, just in case one rod or lure is hot that day. Many times, great friendships are created having a great day on the ocean. All you have to do is decide which day you want to go.
Booking Notes
#What to bring:
- Think layers.
- On the ocean, it’s usually 10-20 degrees cooler than it is inland. Conditions can also change rapidly. If you wear layers, you can adjust up and down accordingly.
- Your entire family over the age of 6 for a fun day on the water.
#Fishing License
Hawai‘i now requires a license for recreational ocean fishing for non-Hawai‘i residents.
Nonresident youth under 15 years of age and all active-duty military personnel and their families do not need a license.
