🤔Cancellation Policy?
Cancellations more than 14 days from departure date, 50% refunded of Total Rental. Cancellations less than 14 days from departure date, no refunds. If a charter is canceled due to unsafe weather, 100% refunded or Charterer may reschedule.
🤔$250 Security Deposit?
A HOLD is placed on your card for the security deposit and is necessary for damages or excessive messes that require additional or professional cleaning.
🤔Is a USCG Captain Included?
A Professional USCG Captain IS required. A list of Sea Trialed candidate USCG captains are available & included to select from, unless you have your own you'd like to elect and have us sea trial before departure.

The marina is North America’s largest man-made small-craft harbor and is home to approximately 5,000 boats. The area is a popular tourism destination for water activities such as paddleboard and kayak rentals, dinner cruises, and yacht charters. This Westside location is approximately 4 miles south of Santa Monica, and 4 miles north of Los Angeles International Airport.

🤔What is a Bareboat Charter?*
*As defined below, the vessel you are booking is a bareboat charter:
1. A bareboat charter is a vessel that is leased by the owner to another person (a “charterer”) for a period of time without a captain or crew.
2. A bareboat charter is a vessel that is considered a recreational vessel and may not be subject to
Passenger Vessel inspections by the United States Coast Guard.
3. Once the charterer takes possession of the vessel, the charterer becomes entirely responsible for any collision, personal injuries and wages for the crew.
4. The owner of the vessel is generally not responsible for any collision, personal injuries and wages for the crew.
5. The charterer is responsible for the vessel’s crew, fuel, insurance, any maintenance or repairs, and any
liability associated with use and possession of the vessel.
6. The charterer must have the option of selecting and paying crew and may discharge the master or any crew member without referral to the owner.
7. The owner may require general levels of proficiency for the crew that is retained based on federal
statutes, and
8. Charterers and passengers are solely responsible for making sure they understand and agree to the
terms of any bareboat charter agreement.

🤔**What Shoes Should I Wear?**
· NO Shoes are allowed onboard. To protect the boat from damage and dirt please remove and stow your shoes once onboard. We recommend bringing socks if your feet get cold.
🤔**Where Do I Meet the Island Boat MDR?**
· Drop off and Pick up is at DOCK 55 located at ***13701 Fiji Way, Marina Del Rey, CA, 90292*** to the right of El Torito in the Public Parking Lot. The DOCK 55 Gate says “Dock 55” on the gate.
🤔**What Time Should I Arrive?**
· We recommend arriving ***30 minutes EARLY.*** The ***Captain will CALL & MEET you at the DOCK 55 Gate when your boat is DOCKED & READY to board at your START TIME.*** There may be another party disembarking, so we appreciate your patience while our crew cleans thoroughly before boarding. We will board once your entire party arrives and the boat is ready. IF the boat and crew is running LATE, rest assured you will get your full time.
🤔**What Time Will We Return?**
· We will Dock 15 minutes before your End Time to allow you to wind down your party and gather your things
🤔**What About Parking?**
· There is a large overnight public parking lot in front of Dock 55 with a Pay Machine for your party to park in. REMEMBER TO PAY PARKING MACHINE TO AVOID TICKETS!
🤔**What If My Party Is Late?**
· Your cruise time **BEGINS** and **ENDS** according to your booking itinerary… not when you arrive. Dock 55 requires us to depart within 15 minutes from your scheduled Departure Time. **If you are going to be 15 minutes late please Text or Call us at (310) 906-0092.**
🤔**Can We Extend Our Cruise?**
· Text or Call us at **(310) 906-0092** OR let the Captain or Crew know and we will see if that can be arranged based upon availability of the vessel. The cost will be based on your booked hourly rate.
🤔**Can We Bring Alcohol Aboard Island Boat MDR?**
· It would be weird if you didn't. As long as guests are over 21, you are welcome to bring and drink whatever you like. *Please NO Glass beer bottles and NO Red wine.*
🤔**Can We Board Early to 🎈🎉Decorate?**
· Any decorating and clean up of decorations must be done during your scheduled rental time. We recommend keeping it minimal (a sign and a numbered balloon or two) since the boat is already decorated OR booking more time.
🤔**Is Island Boat MDR Kid-Friendly?**
· Absolutely, guests of all ages are welcome. If anyone has a tendency to get motion sick or sea sick, please be sure to take something ahead of time.
🤔**Is Island Boat MDR Dog-Friendly?**
· While we love our pups, it is not appropriate to have them aboard while underway for safety and cleanliness. Out of respect to ALL guests, we ask that you leave your furry friend at home, ESA's included.
🤔**Can We Smoke Aboard Island Boat MDR?**
· NO. Just below your seats are 375 gallons of fuel, plus we want to keep the boat nice for a long time to come, and burn holes are hard to repair. ***You may vape responsibly.***
🤔**What About Weed, Man?**
· Since we will be on federal waters and marijuana is not federally legal, that's a big NO. You can leave the drugs at home... you're going to have a great time without them.
*FYI… The Coast Guard does random safety checks and can board us at anytime.*
🤔**How Many People Can We Have In Our Group?**
· 12 Max as per US Coast Guard and Dock 55 regulations. The USCG strictly prohibits us from carrying more than 12 guests.
🤔**What Activities & Tours Are There?**
· A USCG Licensed Captain and a Deckhand will be taking care of you and your guests. You can instruct them as to what route you would prefer to take and get recommendations based upon your cruise time for what you’d like to see and do.

🤔**Excessive Messes & Toilets?**
· ***There is a $250 cleaning fee for excessive messes or clogged toilets.*** Boat Plumbing is EXTREMELY SENSITIVE. Please discard all toilet paper, tissues and tampons in the bathroom trash can. Do not worry… there is a SIGN inside the bathroom as a reminder for you and your guests. Our crew will also remind you during the boarding safety brief.
