Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about expanding your skills.
You'll complete two required dives—deep diving and underwater navigation—then three additional specialty dives based on the local environment, for a total of five dives. Each specialty dive you complete can earn you credit toward PADI® specialty certifications.
Here are a few of the many options: Deep, Dive Against Debris, Fish Identification, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Boat, Underwater Navigation, and Wreck Diver.
You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving skills, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. Try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. The Advanced Open Water Diver Course is open to all certified Open Water Divers, including Junior Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old.
Adventure Dives
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time. The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your the adventures you have – Boat, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

Thank you for choosing **Aloha Scuba Diving Company** for your upcoming Advanced Open Water Certification Course. To ensure a seamless experience, please complete the following steps before your course:
1. Please register for your PADI e-learning as soon as you receive your redemption code, which is valid for 15 days.
2. Complete all of your Elearning and medical forms on your PADI account.
3. Your instructor will email you two forms to review and fill out for your course (Continuing Education Form). Please digitally fill them out and return them.
4. Bring proof of an open water certification from either PADI or an equivalent certification from another organization.
5. Read your entire booking confirmation email, follow all directions, and sign the Boat Smart waiver for each boat charter using the link provided.
We typically conduct five adventure dives for the Advanced Open Water Certification Course, so please complete the eLearning for the following, along with the **"Think Like a Diver"** section:
1. Deep
2. Underwater Navigation
3. Peak Performance Buoyancy

5. Boat
**Important Reminders**
* **Check-in deadline:** For morning departures, you must arrive no later than **8:30 AM**. For afternoon departures, please arrive no later than **1:30 PM**. Arriving after these times may result in the need to reschedule your dive

* We depart at 9 AM sharp for the morning charter and 2 PM sharp for the afternoon charter.
* Use the location provided in your confirmation email, or click on the "Get Directions" button if needed.
