Itinerary

Arrive at the departure point in Jasper for check-in.

Take a 15 minute bus transfer to the Athabasca River put-in.

Change into your wetsuit and receive your safety gear.

Attend a safety and rafting briefing from your certified guide.

Embark on a 1-hour rafting journey including 5 sections of Class 2 rapids.

Return to the departure point in Jasper – a quick 5 minute bus transfer.

Check-in details

? Location: 637 Connaught Drive, Jasper

Check-in is at the public parking lot on the corner of Connaught Drive & Hazel Avenue, directly across from the Shell Gas Station.

Look for the black Maligne Rafting trailer, located beside the public washroom building.

? Check-in is required 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time so you can sign your waiver and be ready to go.

? Parking: Paid all-day public parking is available in the same lot, including limited RV parking.

Participants must be at least 5 years old

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult

Restrictions

Guests with limited mobility should contact us prior to booking

Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will NOT be permitted to participate in any Maligne Rafting Adventures Ltd. activities.

Disclaimers

All times are in Alberta Mountain Timezone. Please ensure you factor this into your planning if you'll be driving into Jasper from British Columbia.

If traveling from outside of Jasper, we suggest allowing extra time for the drive in case you encounter any traffic delays.

This trip is typically 2 hours round-trip (including 1 hour on water time) although please note that trip durations are approximate and are subject to variations due to traffic conditions & river flow.

Boat configuration is at the discretion of raft guides and will be determined on the day based on overall group size. While the best effort is made to keep groups together in same raft, due to logistics, this cannot be guaranteed.

Due to the unpredictability of water levels and in the best interest of our clients, Maligne Rafting Adventures Ltd reserves the right to cancel or alter any trip and/or substitute a different river or river section at our discretion.

Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
