**Typical Course Schedule**
- Before Day 1 | Complete 5–6 hours of online learning.
- Day 1 | Classroom review, final exam, and pool session
- Day 2 | Two Open Water Dives (max depth 12 metres)
- Day 3 | Two Open Water Dives (max depth 18 metres)
Times and locations may vary slightly depending on weather and tides.
The schedule may change slightly to ensure the best possible experience. Depending on conditions and group progress, the order of theory and pool sessions may be adjusted.

**Prerequisites**
- Be at least 10 years old
- Be able to swim 200m and float for 10 minutes
- If you’re over 45 or have any pre-existing medical conditions, you’ll need an AS4005.1 dive medical (valid for one year)
Students younger than 15 years old will be certified as a Junior Open Water Diver.

Before Day One, please complete the steps below so we can prepare your training and certification.
#1. Set Up Your Free MySSI Account
**New to SSI?**
Create your free MySSI account using our registration link below. This connects you with **Gold Coast Dive Centre** so we can assign your training and manage your certification.

**Already have a MySSI account?**
Log in and make sure **Gold Coast Dive Centre** is selected as your Training Centre.
Please use the **same email address used for your booking** and complete your SSI profile, including:
- Profile photo
- Residential address
- Date of birth
- Mobile number
- Emergency contact
Then download the free MySSI App from the App Store or Google Play.

#2. Complete Your Medical & Digital Documents
In the MySSI App, go to:
**Profile → Training & Documents → Medical Statement & Responsible Diver Code**
Complete all required documents before Day One.
If your medical questionnaire indicates that **medical clearance is required,** you must provide written clearance before participating in any in-water training.
Please also complete the **Gold Coast Dive Centre digital Liability Waiver** provided with your booking.

#3. Complete your online learning
Once your Open Water Diver training has been assigned, complete the SSI digital learning in the MySSI App.
Please allow approximately **5–6 hours** and make sure it is completed **before Day One.**

#Day One
Please arrive at **Gold Coast Dive Centre** at the start time shown on your booking confirmation.
Please bring:
- Your phone with the MySSI App
- Swimwear and towel
- Reusable water bottle
- Food/snacks for the day
- Sun protection
- Medical clearance, if required
All required scuba equipment is provided.
**Swimming Requirements**
As confirmed when booking, you must be able to:
- Swim **200 metres unassisted** (no time limit)
- Float or tread water for **10 minutes**
These are mandatory course requirements. If you are not confident you can complete them, please contact us before Day One.

#Flying After Diving
Please do not plan to **fly or travel to altitude within 24 hours after your final dive.**

Free on-street parking nearby.
Please allow extra time for parking, especially during busy periods or roadworks.

Ocean training times and locations may change depending on weather, tides and sea conditions. If we need to adjust your schedule, our team will contact you.

#Personal Belongings
Please look after your personal belongings. Gold Coast Dive Centre cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items. Unclaimed property will be disposed of after three weeks.

Cancellation Policy
Scuba training requires dedicated instructor scheduling, reserved training facilities and personalised SSI digital registration.
- Course fees are non-refundable once booked
- Missed training days incur a $150 rescheduling fee per day
- Pool make-up sessions incur a $150 training fee
- Additional ocean make-up dives are charged at $75 per dive
- Rescheduling is subject to availability
- For third-party vouchers, payments and refunds are handled by the relevant booking provider
