This evening kayak tour offers a rare chance to witness the glowing bioluminescence of Tomales Bay after dark.
Please plan to arrive **15–30 minutes early**. The first portion of the tour is spent on shore preparing and reviewing safety basics.
### What to Wear
- Wool or synthetic layers only (please avoid cotton or denim)
- Warm insulating layer (fleece or wool)
- Windbreaker or rain jacket
- Shoes that can get wet
- No flip-flops
### What to Bring
- Water bottle
- Snacks
- Headlamp or flashlight
- Dry socks or shoes for after the tour
Your guide will meet you at the launch and all kayaking equipment is provided.

###General Directions
From the town of Point Reyes Station, take Highway 1 north, approximately 13 miles.
### Parking
Please park in the upper dirt lot on the west (bay) side of Highway 1.
Do not park in Nick’s Cove parking areas.
###Arrival & General Reminders
- Please arrive 15–30 minutes early to allow time for parking, restrooms, and adjusting layers
- Carpool when possible
- Wear shoes that can get wet: Sport sandals (Chacos, Keens, Tevas); Wetsuit booties or aqua socks; Old sneakers or hiking boots with wool socks; Rubber boots also work well; No flip-flops, please
