More than a bodyboarding lesson...
Duration
2 Hours
About
If standing up on a board isn’t your thing, try Waikiki bodyboarding lessons. It is one of the easier watersports to get into, tons of fun and there is much more to it than simply riding a board on your stomach.
Our instructors will teach you techniques, tricks, and methods that will allow you to ride the waves like a pro. From the beginner to advanced, we have you covered!
All prices include bodyboards, fins and all the equipment you need to get up and ride. All you have to bring is is your swimwear, towel, sunscreen and change of clothes.

## How To Prepare
**Please arrive prepared for your lesson wearing swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, and bringing a towel. Please note that reef-safe sunscreen is required in Hawaii.**
**Read, sign and submit our online waiver and registration form: https://waiver.fr/p-cy4oL**
Each participant 18 and older must sign their own form and the parents/guardians of all children under 18 must sign for them.
We also have our waiver and registration form available in:
Japanese: https://waiver.fr/p-dbTgM
Korean: https://waiver.fr/p-Q8B9j
Chinese (Mandarin): https://waiver.fr/p-3HNGE
**If you are prone to seasickness, please consider taking a remedy you are accustomed to using before the lesson (speak with your doctor for recommendations).**
##What We Will Provide
**Long sleeve surf shirts and protective reef shoes for use during your lesson.**
If you have your own surf shirt and reef shoes, you are welcome to use them.
**Water equipment: surfboard, body board/fins, or stand up paddle board/paddle**
If you have experience and are looking for a specific size range in your equipment, please advise us ahead of time by calling or email.
**While in the water**
We have a safe place to store your items. We recommend removing jewelry, hats and glasses before heading to the surf. Also, we do not recommend bringing anything in the water that you would be sad to lose. We do not advise wearing seeing eyeglasses (you can certainly surf blind).
##Additional Information
If you or any participants cannot swim, please advise the staff ahead of time.
If you or any participants have any medical conditions or injuries that we should be aware of, please advise the staff ahead of time.
Photos & videos will be available for purchase either before or after the lesson. There is a discount available if you purchase your footage before your lesson. Please email or call us to prepay for footage.
If you tend to get cold easily, we offer wetsuit rentals. For children, we have short sleeve spring suits. For adults, we have wetsuit jackets available. The rental fee for the duration of the lesson is $10 plus tax per wetsuit. Please email or call us to check availability and prepay for the rental.
Tips are always greatly appreciated and graciously accepted. They are never taken for granted or completely expected.
##After Your Lesson
We will shuttle you back to the Ohana Surf Center to view the footage from your lesson!
**If you were picked up and would like a ride back in our courtesy shuttle, the exact shuttle departure times for each lesson vary slightly but generally are as follows:**
-9:00am lessons: our courtesy shuttle will depart at approximately 11:30am and return you to your pick-up location between 11:40-11:55am.
-12:00pm lessons: our courtesy shuttle will depart at approximately 2:30pm and return you to your pick-up location between 2:40-2:55pm.
-3:00pm lessons: our courtesy shuttle will depart at approximately 5:30pm and return you to your pick-up location between 5:40-5:55pm.
The above timing ensures that all lesson participants have ample time to dry off, change into clothes, review their videos and photos, and participate in lesson debriefings. There is only one shuttle departure, regardless of the duration of the lesson.
