On an oceanic adventure to snorkel the reefs in historic Kealakekua Bay & near the Captain Cook Monument. We depart from Kailua-Kona, HI and begin an adventure along the beautiful Kona coastline. On the cruise you'll view sea caves and rugged, volcanic landscapes! This trip features personal attention in a small group setting. Join us for this great ocean journey along the historic Kona coast! Includes over an hour of snorkeling time, drinks/snacks, snorkel gear, & floatation.
You will enjoy up to 1 1/2 hours of snorkeling at Captain Cook Monument, watch dolphins and see flying fish when cruising the rugged Kona coastline..

Details
Entering the calm waters of Kealakekua Bay you will snorkel above colorful tropical fish, emerald green coral gardens and with luck watch Hawaiian spinner dolphins, green sea turtles & humpback whales (During whale watching season - November to March). The water temperature is 80 degrees and typically you can see down 100'. It's an amazing snorkeling experience.
Also, see where the famous explorer James Cook first arrived in Hawaii. You will travel close to the site of historic Ka`awaloa village and the home of Hawaiian Royalty.
Locations: This trip leaves from one of two locations in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. We will notify you the night before your trip about which location to meet us - watch your email and texts for updates. Harbors are located in Kailua-Kona (Honokohau or Keauhou harbors) and both have free parking. Travel is aboard a 25' - 35" USCG Certified vessel.

RIDE ALONG rates are available for those who will not enter the water - $79.95 per guest.
Guests are welcome of all ages to snorkel. Beginning snorkelers are welcome, but all snorkelers should be swimmers. If you are non-swimmers you will be asked to stay within 25' of the boat at all times and to wear floatation.
Included on all trips: Snorkel Gear, Floatation and drink/snacks. We do provide lifejackets for guests who swim poorly, but want to cool down in the refreshing, 80 degree ocean waters.

* Remarkable snorkeling at Captain Cook Monument. Brightly colored tropical fish and coral gardens are the feature most commonly enjoyed here.
* A nice assortment of snacks and drinks (bottled water, tropical sodas, potato chips, granola bars, fig bars and trail mix) are complimentary on each trip.
