What trip to Alaska would be complete without a private fishing charters excursion? After all, Icy Strait is one of the best Halibut fishing spots in the World! We start at docking facility for pick up. Its a short van ride to city harbor. There we board the boat and are on the water!

Booking Notes
Please try to arrive at Excursion Hub as soon as you can for 1st morning trip. There may be others waiting to depart. All trips after, arrive 15min early. If ship is late, trip time will be adjusted for ALL trips. Ex: if ship late 1 hour, 9am time changes to 10am and so on. Keep checking email and cell messages for updates. Please contact if your ship is late, trip time changes. Thank you. We leave for our trips on time. NO WAITING if ships are on time.
Please look at aerial photo on bottom to figure out if you are at #1Adventure Landing or #2Wilderness Landing. That will determine the need for gondola.
##Due to changes in vendor licensing, the fishing license should be bought online at Alaska Fish and Game via this link [here!] (http://adfg.alaska.gov/Store/Customers/Create) It will expedite trip time. Please PRINT and SIGN, copy is required by law enforcement. Do not wait to do on day of fishing, minimal data service here. It will burn thru your fishing time. No Salmon stamp needed for halibut trip. As of 2026 a $20 halibut stamp is required for all people retaining halibut. The fee can be put on booking. HALIBUT STAMPS ON BOAT DURING VALIDATING FISHING LICENSE. One day non resident license. Fish processing price is $50 per pound at 10lb minimum.
Fish ships via FedEx.
Fish are NOT GUARANTEED. ONE HALIBUT TO RETAIN. UNLIMITED TO CATCH AND RELEASE. ANY NUMBER BETWEEN 34-80 must be release. Call for more information. No retention of halibut on Thursdays.

#1 Adventure Landing docking
Here are directions to Excursion Hub. I do my pick up there. I have attached photos to help assist in finding Excursion Hub. Walk into Adventure Center right door to dirt road on right side of building. There are signs on side of road that guide you to excursion hub. Do not ride on gondola, if you walk thru Adventure Center. 15 min early is recommended.
Please follow directions to the letter and find me as soon as ship arrives (1st trip). There may be other people in fishing charter that are waiting with me.
First photo is adventure center to walk into building and make way to right of building. The dirt road next to green gondolas have white signs that have arrows and excursion hub clearly painted on them. This is for docking slip #1.
#2 Wilderness Landing
This docking is farther away from Excursion Hub. That green horizontal gondola will bring you to road leading to excursion Hub or you can walk the 200 yds. Signage will direct you excursion Hub. Left turn after stepping off gondola. This is only for the docking slip #2. The green gondola immediately after getting off cruise ship indicates you are at docking #2. Short ride on gondola then short walk to excursion Hub. Call if directions not clear. 15 min early is recommended. Video is helpful
