The Waikiki Dive Center Marine Stewardship Division was created on a simple belief:

Meaningful conservation does not require a marine science degree. It begins with awareness, education, and a willingness to help.

We look forward to diving with purpose alongside you.

More Eyes. Better Ocean.

Cancellation Policy

Please plan your dive trip accordingly. You are required to review and understand the following procedure and policy before booking. You are responsible for initiating the change and cancellation directly with a phone call to the Waikiki Dive Center. We do not accept email cancellations:
1. Must plan your dive 18 hours before a flight
2. Must pass the PADI medical questionnaire. If you have any medical conditions, please check with your medical caregiver or a nearby local clinic and obtain their consent to go diving—email info@waikikidiving.com with the consent letter by check-in. Failure to do so could prevent you from diving. This is for your safety concerns.
3. Must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled check-in time. We will wait another 15 minutes after the check-in time to stay on schedule. If you miss the 15-minute check-in window, your trip will be automatically canceled in total booking charges.
4. You must reschedule or cancel (up to 4 divers) 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time for a full refund.
5. For private charters or groups of 5 or more, cancellation is free until 21 days before your dive schedule, regardless of the booking time. Know that we blocked the entire trip for the reservation and prevented any other customers from booking. Failure to call us to cancel before the 21 days before the scheduled trip will forfeit all reimbursement.
6. Dive Package is a pre-paid special for certified divers at our lowest flat rate that can be used all year round. The Dive Package is valid per certified diver for two years from the day of purchase. The Dive package is non-refundable, but you can reschedule or cancel with 48 hours of notice in advance.

The dive package dives can only be rescheduled for weather, acts of God, and safety-related cancellations. No refunds or credit will be issued. The trip protection insurance is not offered; hence, it is not applicable for dive package deals. The advanced 48-hour notice is required for complimentary rescheduling. Or else the trip will be forfeited.

Waikiki Dive Center is proud to be the first PADI 5-STAR IDC Dive Shop on Oahu since 1979. With over 44 years of expertise, the Waikiki Dive Center team has accomplished over 4 million safe dives and certified 35,000 high-quality divers worldwide. Waikiki Dive Center is dedicated to safety while creating a transformational lifetime experience for every one of our divers.

To avoid confusion, guests must call the shop at 808-922-2121 for any cancellation request during regular business hours between 7 am and 7 pm PST. Any change request left on voicemail or social messaging platforms or sent via email may not be addressed promptly and, hence, invalid. We do not have 24/7 email monitoring to answer any last-minute changes (within 48 hours of the tour).

Free Cancellations and Free Changes:
Reservations for four or fewer guests were booked directly with Waikiki Dive Center through our shop or our website; if canceled over the phone with at least 48 hours advance notice, guests will not be charged. A full refund will be issued within 24 hours of acknowledgment. All bookings (including but not limited to classes, last-minute walk-ins, private guides, and dive trips) made 48 hours or less in advance cannot be canceled and changed without forfeiting the full fee of the bookings.

Reservations for a private charter or a group of 5 or more guests, regardless of the booking time, if canceled (over the phone) with at least 21 days advance notice, guests will not be charged. We've blocked the entire vessel for the reservations and crew time, which would be considered at least 21 days to recover.

Trip Alterations to Cancellations:
Waikiki Dive Center has an exemplary safety record. We reserve all right to alter trip details or cancel trips if necessary for any reason, including but not limited to adverse weather, unpredictable ocean conditions during the dive, minimum passenger requirements, or other related safety conditions.

To ensure safety, our highly experienced captains track the daily weather closely as cancellations are made on a trip-by-trip basis and may be determined close to the check-in time, even up to the departure time. As we do our best to inform all guests regarding the weather and ocean conditions ahead of time, it may be out of anyone's control that the weather and ocean conditions worsen after the boat departs the dock. Booking may not be refunded, but just like taking a flight, if Waikiki Dive Center must cancel a booking because of safety concerns due to inclement weather conditions, RESCHEDULING will be offered to a non-expiring rain-check voucher to make another trip. A rain-check voucher is issued only if the Captain ends the tour early under suddenly "un-divable" conditions after the boat heads out to the dive location and returns without diving. As much of the planning cost had occurred during the planning and gearing process, should a guest require a voucher, only 50% rain-check credit may be issued to a non-expiring gift card if/when the Captain ends the tour under the suddenly "un-divable" conditions. Contact us by phone to inquire about a cancellation. We welcome your feedback to help us improve. Please let us know how we can improve your experience by emailing us.
