**Shared sailing adventure pricing options:**
**Shared use of the yacht, half-day (duration is up to 3.5 hours).** Per-person pricing for a half-day is **$225 for each passenger**. There is a four-person minimum and a 12-person maximum onboard our 50-foot sailing yacht.
**Shared use of the yacht, full-day (duration is up to 7-hours).** Per-person pricing for a full-day is **$349 for each full-day passenger**. There is a 4-person minimum and a 12-person maximum aboard our 50-foot sailing yacht.
Private sailing adventure Full-day and 1/2-Day Pricing Options:
**Private use of the yacht** sailing adventure, **half-day** pricing starts at **$1,350 for the entire yacht for up to 6 passengers (up to a 3.5 hour duration)**. Each additional passenger (beyond 6) is $49 for up to a maximum of 12-passengers.
**Private use of the yacht** sailing adventure, **full-day** pricing starts at **$2,094 for the entire yacht for up to 6 passengers (up to a 7-hour duration)**. Each additional passenger (beyond 6) is $99 up to a maximum of 12-passengers.
Based on schedule availability utilizing our online scheduling system, our morning departures leave American Yacht Harbor in Redhook at 8:30 AM for the St. John National Park and return at noon. Our afternoon departures leave American Yacht Harbor in Redhook at 1:00 PM for the St. John National Park and return at 4:30 PM.
Private, full-day sailing adventures of up to 7 hours in duration can depart and return using a customized schedule timeline.
Shared pricing includes: up to two crew to serve you. (When less than four passengers are aboard, we reserve the right to operate with one crew member, the captain only). Our half-day rates include fuel, snorkel gear, floats, USVI park fees, complementary snacks, beer, rum punch, soft drinks, and water. . However, half-day adventures also include a casual lunch from our grill or griddle served after swimming/snorkeling activities. Note: Based on the distance traveled during the adventure, half-day sails may not allow adequate time for use of all of the water toys onboard.
Full-day, private adventures include: a crew of two to serve you and your guests, fuel, USVI park fees, snorkel gear, floats, complementary snacks, beer, rum punch, soft drinks, and water. Also included is full use of our tandem kayak, two paddle boards, in-water swimming pool platform, snorkel gear. We also provide a hot lunch freshly prepared from our outdoor grill or griddle for your group.
Guests are welcome to bring additional beverages and food. There are also many nice restaurants located at Redhook near the marina when we return back to American Yacht Harbor.
We depart and return from “P” dock at American Yacht Harbor in Redhook via Summerwind’s center console dingy. The 100-yard dingy ride to and from Summerwind takes only a few minutes and is included.
Taxes and booking fees are additional charges and are not fees received by Summerwind.
A customary crew service gratuity of 20% is always appreciated for a job well done. 100% of the gratuities are shared among the crew who worked directly with your sailing adventure.
Note: For passengers who require to be picked up directly from the marina dock and choose not to use our complementary dinghy transportation, the marina charges a $75 docking fee for a pickup and another $75 for a drop-off fee. If required, these marina dock fees would be paid directly to the marina dockmaster by the charter guest. 99% of our guests avoid any docking fee from the marina by utilizing our complementary dinghy transportation.
We depart Redhook (American Yacht Harbor) from “P” dock. Our morning departures leave Redhook at 8:30 AM for the St. John National Park and return at noon. Our afternoon departures leave Redhook at 1:00 PM and return from the St. John National Park at 4:30 PM.
All of our sailing adventures depart from (American Yacht Harbor) in Redhook from “P” dock. Private full-day adventures typically depart from Redhook at 9:00 am and return by 4:30 pm. However, because this is a fully private all-day adventure, the departure and return times can be flexible to meet your schedule.
**CHARTER INFORMATION - ADDITIONAL DETAILS**
Snorkeling and sailing in St. Thomas and St. John with endangered sea turtles and other amazing sea life aboard Summerwind is truly amazingThis adventure is designed for St. Thomas cruise-ship passengers, resort/hotel guests, as well as guests visiting St. Thomas for the day.
Summerwind is a true 50-foot luxury sailing yacht. When the wind is right, Summerwind’s mast and sails power the vessel effortlessly through the water. When the wind is not our friend, the yacht is equipped with a 75 hp turbo-diesel engine to assist the wind towards our destination. Come and join us aboard Summerwind where you can experience the exhilaration of a sailing vessel capable of crossing oceans in luxury.
Because we take a maximum of 12 guests aboard our 50-foot luxury sailing yacht, you will be quite comfortable during the adventures. Compare Summerwind to other charter companies that can have as many as a couple dozen passengers, sometimes on smaller and older boats than Summerwind.
**Crew Profile**
Each member of our crew is certified by the Red Cross in CPR and in AED use. In addition, our crew members have extensive open-water experience making your swimming and snorkeling time more enjoyable.
**Sailing and Snorkeling Destination**
There are dozens and dozens of beautiful coves and bays to visit throughout the Virgin Islands, so our exact destinations are based on weather, wind, and other factors. Regardless, will find nice anchorages and we keep our eyes out looking for the large population of Endangered Sea Turtles enjoying the area. Sea life is abundant and these majestic creatures gather in numbers. Other Sealife in the area include rays, beautiful fish, and protected coral reefs. Should the captain determine there is a safety issue or other issue with the scheduled destination, we reserve the right to provide an alternate destination for the adventure.
Some of our snorkels are integrated into a full face mask for greater sanitation. With this design, there is nothing required to insert into your mouth. Our fins have a shorter design, which is easier to use for beginner and intermediate snorkel guests. Should you be an advanced snorkeler, you are welcome to use our standard snorkel gear or bring your own gear if you prefer.
**For Our Non-Snorkel or Non-Swimming Guests**
For guests who don’t wish to snorkel, but would like to take a dip in the refreshing Caribbean, we offer a swimming platform that is affixed to the yacht (see photo above). The swimming platform allows our guests to enjoy a refreshing dip in the water while remaining well-contained within the swimming platform, the swimming ring. The swimming platform is large enough for about six passengers at a time. For our guests who wish to remain on board during the snorkeling activity, our twin helm, open cockpit design provides room for guests to remain under our bimini and dodger shade or on our foredeck marine grade beanbags to enjoy the tropical breeze all with custom Bluetooth speakers utilizing Apple Music for further guest enjoyment. For guests who want further creature comfort while remaining aboard, Summerwind has an onboard generator, with air conditioning, Starlink high-speed Internet, three flat panel televisions, a Brio cold water dispenser, an ice maker, and a perfect place to make yourself comfortable while anchored.
**What is included with the charter?**

* Complementary snacks, soft drinks are provided while onboard
* Beer and Rum punch for guests 21 and over. For safety, alcoholic beverages will be served after everyone has completed the snorkeling activity.
* Fans are located below deck throughout the yacht
* Freshwater outdoor showers are available on the aft deck for rinsing off after swimming
* Clean bathrooms onboard with electric flush toilets
* Use of our swimming pool platform affixed to the yacht when at anchor
* When time permits and during half-day adventures use of our tandem kayak and stand-up paddle-board during the adventure, when at anchor. Full day adventures always allow for time to fully utilize all the onboard swimming toys.
* Generator to power air-conditioning below, while at anchor
* All fuel and a crew of two are provided without additional cost ( When four or less guests are aboard, we may operate with one crewmember, the captain)
* Clean bathrooms on board with electric flush toilets

**Miscellaneous**

* Onboard Summerwind are two Garmin chartplotters, AIS, radar, and auto-pilot supporting safe navigation.
* A Yanmar 75-hp turbo diesel engine is available to power the yacht when the wind is not our friend
* For safety, three EPIRBS are on the yacht for emergency notification to the USCG with our location
* Although not required, Summerwind has two, 8 person Winslow life rafts aboard in case of emergency
* Four fire extinguishers are maintained on board for additional safety
* Because of our open cockpit design, we are not wheelchair accessible
* We cannot accommodate service animals aboard for the safety of all passengers.
* Infants must remain under the watchful eye of their guardians. Infant strollers may be stored below during the adventure. However, there is no place for infant strollers on the deck. Guardians and small children may go below for naps and for a break from the action on deck.
* This activity requires a medium amount of physical ability
* For guests, wanting to snorkel or swim, they must be able to lift themselves out of the water using a boarding ladder
* Guests must be capable of traversing five steps to access the bathrooms and interior salon of the yacht.
* Smoking, vaping or the use of other tobacco products is not allowed anywhere on the yacht, including on deck.
* For continuous cleanliness of the yacht for all guests, pets of any kind are not permitted aboard Summerwind.
* No forms of illegal contraband or firearms are permitted aboard.
**Cancellation Policy**
* You may cancel up to 48 hours in advance of the adventure start time to receive a full refund.
* If you cancel less than 48 hours before the adventure start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
* Any other changes made less than 48 hours before the adventure’s start time may not be able to be accommodated.
* Cut-off times for cancellation are based on the local time in St. Thomas which is (AST) Atlantic standard time.
* This experience requires safe weather conditions. If the adventure is canceled due to unsafe weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund. The captain is the sole determiner as to the safety conditions for the adventure.
