Our Farm to Table Dinner Cruises showcase the two things we are most passionate about: pristine rivers and local organic California cuisine. Join us for a one-of-a-kind experience that begins with either:
A bunch of exciting whitewater rapids on the Upper Trinity River Pigeon Point Section, and ends with an equally beautiful farm to table style dinner served on the beach.
Or, a relaxing Scenic Class ll Float followed by dinner served to you riverside on a sandy beach.
These trips are ideal for couples and groups wanting a more romantic and/or relaxing river experience.
All of the produce served is local, organic, and cooked fresh on-site. Pacific salmon is one of our favorites to cook over a fire while our guests sit back and enjoy a variety of hors d’ oeuvres. Dietary restrictions are easily accommodated for.
Dinner will include appetizers, main course, grilled/sauteed veggies, salad, and dutch oven desert. A menu will be provided upon booking, please let us know if any alterations need to be made.

Coming from the west/Arcata and Highway 101: Head east on Hwy 299 from Highway 101. You will go through Willow Creek (and past our rental office there), keep going, you are halfway there. After another 45 minutes you’ll drive through the tiny rafting town of Big Flat and past the Strawhouse Cafe, keep going, you’re about 7 miles away now. After you pass the USFS Pigeon Point Campground/River Access and Bagdad River Access, and your phone starts working again, you know you are getting close. You’ll see our signs on the gate on the right, river side!
Coming from the east/Weaverville/Redding and Hwy 5: Head west on Hwy 299 through Weaverville and keep going over Oregon Mnt. You will go through the tiny town of Junction City, past the store and the last gas station. We’re another 5-10 minutes down the road on the left, at the end of a sharp corner. You'll see signs on the gate on the left, river side of the road. We are about 20 minutes from Weaverville, and about 1 hour 30 minutes from Redding (more if road construction). If you see the USFS Bagdad River Access or the Pigeon Point Campground/River Access, then you’ve gone a little bit too far.

Coming from the East/Weaverville
Head west on Hwy 299 from Weaverville. Big Flat is about 30 minutes from Weaverville, or 1 hour and 30 minutes from Redding (more if construction). Upon entering the small town of Big Flat you will see the Straw House (a bright yellow cafe on the left side of the highway. Continue to Big Flat River Access, it is located just past “town” on the left side of the highway. You will see a large parking lot, pit toilet, and sign that says Big Flat River Access. There is no gas or cell service in Big Flat, so fill up and make your calls before you leave Weaverville. You’ll see our big white vans and red rafts!
Coming From the West/Arcata
Head east on Hwy 299 from Hwy 101. Big Flat is about a 1.5 hr drive from the coast Eureka/Arcata/Trinidad. You will pass by our shop in Willow Creek - keep going - you’ve got about 45 minutes to Big Flat from here. The town of Big Flat is just 3 miles after the town of Big Bar, CA. Just before entering the small town of Big Flat you will see Big Flat River Access, it is a large parking lot on the right side of the highway with a pit toilet and a sign that says Big Flat River Access. We’ll be there with our white vans and red rafts!

What to Bring:
Weather in Northern California is generally warm and sunny in the summer months, but can be unpredictable so please bring an extra layer of polypropylene or wool for warmth on spring days. All rafters should wear sandals that strap on your feet or tennis shoes with rubber bottoms, sorry but flip flops are not ideal to be worn on whitewater trips. Participants should wear clothes suitable for swimming, as well as bring sunscreen and a refillable water bottle.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of your trip's departure date in order to guarantee a partial refund. The 20% deposit (or 20% of the cost if paid in full) is non refundable. A cancellation within 2 weeks of your trip date may result in a partial refund, depending on if we are able to rebook the seats that we held for you. If we are able to rebook, we happily do not charge. If we are unable to rebook, we unfortunately may have to collect a cancellation fee to cover our loss. If you fail to show up for your trip without contacting us in advance, you will be charged for the full amount. We understand that last minute things come up, and we are happy to reschedule a trip. If you have to reschedule less than 2 weeks before your trip we will have to charge a rescheduling fee. If rescheduling more than 2 weeks, there is no rescheduling fee.
