What to Bring for a Paddle Tour:
☀️ Clothing & Protection:
✅ Moisture-wicking or quick-dry clothing (avoid cotton)
✅ Swimsuit or board shorts
✅ Hat & sunglasses (with a retainer strap)
✅ Reef-safe sunscreen & lip balm with SPF
✅ Water shoes or sandals (optional but helpful)
💧 Hydration & Snacks:
✅ Reusable water bottle
✅ Light snacks (protein bars, fruit, nuts)
🩹 Extras for Comfort & Safety:
✅ Small towel or sarong
✅ Dry bag for personal items (if needed)
✅ Change of clothes for after the tour
✅ Waterproof phone case
✅ Lightweight jacket (for cooler days)
For Extra Fun:
✅ GoPro or waterproof camera

Cancellation Policy
Weather Cancellation & Safety Policy
At DFW Surf, safety is our top priority. We closely monitor weather conditions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
We will cancel or reschedule paddle tours if:
Winds exceed 20 mph – Strong winds create unsafe conditions for paddlers.
Lightning or thunderstorms are in the forecast – We do not paddle if lightning is detected within 10 miles.
Heavy rain or extreme weather advisories – If rain significantly reduces visibility or creates hazardous conditions.
Extreme temperatures – If conditions are unsafe due to excessive heat or cold.
What Happens If We Cancel?
- You will be notified at least 1 hours in advance if we need to cancel due to weather.
- We offer rescheduling, credit toward a future tour or refund to .
- If the weather improves and conditions are safe, we will proceed as scheduled.
Participant Responsibilities:
- Check your email or messages for weather updates before heading out.
- Dress appropriately for changing weather conditions.
- If unsure about conditions, reach out to us before your tour.
