Your Doubtful Sound Overnight Cruise begins with a scenic cruise across the beautiful Lake Manapouri. Once there your coach driver will collect you for your ride over the Wilmot Pass to meet your vessel the TUTOKO II, your home for the next day.

With Tawaki (Fiordland Crested Penguins), Kekeno (NZ Fur Seals) and Bottle-nose Dolphins to amuse all encompassed by breathe-taking vistas rising steeply from the depths of the fjords to the summits high above; the scenery and wildlife will undoubtedly leave you in complete awe.

You’ll be fishing for your dinner whilst the crew retrieve lobster for your plate. The food is plentiful with a local flavour; the freshest seafood you will ever experience for sure!

Then there’s kayaking for the adventurous for that up-close personal experience. Or you can simply sit back with a book and relax with a nice wine; whichever way you choose we guarantee you will have a wonderful experience and leave with memories that last a lifetime.

Know Before You Go
If you are traveling alone then please be aware our voyages are only confirmed once a minimum of 2 clients are booked and paid for. If this minimum is not achieved by the date of departure, you agree our liability is limited to the maximum of a full refund of the ticket price paid at the time of booking.
Clothing Choices
The weather can be variable so we encourage you to pack lightly but ensure you have a warm and a water-proof layer amongst the clothing choices. Comfortable footwear is recommended and a change in case you get wet doing activities.
Those Pesky Sand-flies.
Sand-flies can be a problem for some. Though we do supply repellent on our bus and ship the initial ride across the lake does not supply complimentary repellent, so you may choose to bring your own to be sure.

Please be aware; if you are traveling by yourself we have a minimum of 2 persons required to confirm a departure. We will endeavor to notify you as soon as practical if you are the 1st to book on any trip and you will be advised of your options at that time.

IMPORTANT
Please advise if there are any dietary requirements we need to be aware of. Failure to do so will most likely result in us not being able to cater to any special dietary needs.

You only need to bring with you an overnight bag with a change of clothes if you wish to kayak & any alcohol you wish to have along the way.

For bookings between the 1st October to 31st of March, our return time to Manapouri will be by 12 mid-day the next day.

For bookings between the 1st April to 30th September our return time to Manapouri will be by 5.30pm the next day.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations outside 72hrs from departure: 15% of booking value is retained.
Cancellations inside 72hrs of departure: no refund!
