This experience is offered as a bareboat charter in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations:
- The charterer selects and contracts directly with a licensed captain
- Captains are independent professionals, not employees or agents of Crab Island Luxury Adventures
- Captain’s fees are paid directly to the captain, separate from the vessel booking
- Crab Island Luxury Adventures does not collect or process captain payments
For your convenience, a list of pre-approved, licensed captains is provided after booking.
The vessel meets all U.S. Coast Guard safety requirements and carries all required permits, insurance, and safety equipment.
❓ FAQs
- Should you tip your Captain? Your crew works very hard to make sure you have an enjoyable and safe experience on the water. A 20% tip is the minimum amount suggested.
- What about the weather? If the weather is too dangerous to go out during your scheduled time, you will have the opportunity to reschedule or receive a full refund. **THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ONCE YOUR BOAT LEAVES THE DOCK.**

## Waivers to sign
Look out for an email from Wherewolf with your waiver link! ✍️ Everyone in your crew needs to sign one. ⏱️ If you take a minute to pre-sign before you get to the dock, check-in will be a breeze, and you’ll be on the water faster! 🚤✨
##Choosing a Captain:##
The captain you selected during checkout will reach out approximately 24 hours prior to your charter to introduce themselves and coordinate the details of your experience.
As a reminder, the captain’s fee of $600 is paid directly to your captain at the dock on the day of your charter. Payment is typically accepted via cash or Venmo.

Crab Island is a National Park. Please be sure to read the laws and policies. The most commonly misunderstood policy is that no wine bottles or glasses of any kind can be taken off the boat while at Crab Island.
