Arrival Instructions
• Arrival time : Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled rental time. Late arrivals may result in reduced ride time or forfeiture of the reservation
• What to bring : A valid Government Issued photo identification that shows your age, the credit or debit card under the same name, FULLY Completed/Signed Waiver, and a Temporary Florida Boater Safety Certificate (applicable for anyone born on or after January 1, 1988). Links are on the requirements page. (Takes about 15 minutes)
Important Policies
• Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy
All payments are final and non-refundable. Reservations may be rescheduled 48 hours prior to the scheduled time, subject to availability and at our discretion. No-shows will result in forfeiture of the full payment.
• Weather Policy
At Love and Boat, your safety is our top priority. In the event of severe weather conditions—such as thunderstorms, heavy rain, or high winds—that make it unsafe to operate the Boat Car, we will notify you as soon as possible.
• If we cancel due to weather, you will be offered the option to reschedule your booking at no additional cost or receive a full credit for a future date.
• Light rain or overcast skies do not qualify for weather-related cancellations, as our Boat Cars are safe to operate in these conditions.
• Weather-related decisions are made on the day of the rental and at the sole discretion of our team.
We recommend monitoring local forecasts and staying in touch with us if you have concerns leading up to your reservation
• Late Arrival Policy
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled rental time to allow for check-in and safety briefing.
• Arrivals more than 10 minutes late will result in a shortened ride time to avoid delays for other guests.
• Arrivals more than 20 minutes late may be considered a no-show, and the full payment may be forfeited.
• We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals when possible, but this is not guaranteed.
We strongly recommend planning for traffic and parking time to ensure you get the full experience
• Damage Deposit / Waiver Info
Damage Deposit / Waiver Policy
To ensure a safe and responsible experience, all guests must sign a liability waiver before operating the Boat Car.
• A refundable damage deposit of $200 is required at check-in. This can be secured via credit card.
• The deposit will be fully refunded at the end of your rental, provided the Boat Car is returned in the same condition it was received and all safety guidelines were followed.
• Any damages, misuse, or policy violations may result in partial or full forfeiture of the deposit and potential additional charges.

5. Safety & Rules
Age & Licensing Requirements
• Age Requirement: All drivers must be at least 18 years old. Passengers can be any age, but minors must be accompanied by an adult.
• License Requirement:
• If born before January 1, 1988: No boating license is required to operate the boat car.
• If born on or after January 1, 1988: A valid boating safety certification is required to operate the boat car in the state of Texas. You can obtain this certification through an online course or by passing a boating safety test.
• Experience Level: While no prior experience is necessary, you should be comfortable with basic vehicle control and aware of your surroundings on the water.
Safety Gear Provided
For your safety and comfort, we provide the following equipment at no additional charge:
• Life Jackets: Each passenger will be provided with a properly fitted, Coast Guard-approved life jacket. Although wearing the life jacket is not mandatory, it is highly recommended for your safety.
• Safety Briefing: Prior to departure, our team will give a thorough safety briefing that covers the operation of the boat car, local water conditions, and emergency procedures.
• Emergency Flare & First Aid Kit: Every boat car is equipped with essential emergency gear, including a flare and first aid kit, in case of unexpected situations.
