Our 2-tank boat dives take beginners and certified divers to two natural coral reefs abundant with the most captivating marine life.
What to expect:
You'll likely spot friendly sea turtles, schools of rare Hawaiian fish, and plenty of octopuses. And don't worry; our crew members will ensure you don't miss anything. They have the uncanny ability to spot sea creatures from afar.
All divers meet at our dive shop at 424 Nahua Street, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96815. We are the only dive shop conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki, within walking distance of most of the hotels.
Depending on your tour, tours depart from Kewalo Basin Harbor or Maunalua Bay. We provide transportation to and from the harbor.
Here are just a few of the reef dive sites we choose from:
• Angler Reef: We lovingly call this place "octopus heaven" because the place is teeming with fascinating varieties of octopus. This reef also attracts spotted eagle rays and frogfish.
• Nautilus Reef: This is a prime location for octopuses and giant eels.
• Kewalo Pipe/Horseshoe Reef: Beware of the large schools of Barracuda and the enormous morays around the island. They call this place home.

What to bring:
You will need a swimsuit, sunscreen, towel, and waterproof camera. We provide all the premier diving gear and equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own wetsuit if you prefer.
In addition, diving is a sport. You have to know if this is for you. PADI requires all beginner divers to answer this medical questionnaire. Should you have identified the current or ongoing conditions listed in the questionnaires, you must obtain a licensed physician's consent to go diving. Failed medical at check-in will be denied going diving, and the booking will be forfeited without a refund or complimentary rescheduling.

**Your Actions and Awareness Required prior to check-in:**
📝 **Pre-Arrival Waiver – Important Action Required**
Your pre-arrival waiver will be sent via email from a third-party service called "Wherewolf" with the subject line: "Action Required."
✅ One waiver per trip: Each guest must complete a new waiver for every dive trip before arrival. You must sign the waiver that matches your booking as either certified, beginner, student, rider/snorkeler, renter or service requester and etc.
To ensure a smooth check-in process, please complete your waiver as soon as you receive the email. 🌊🐠
For safety and compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations, all participants (divers, students, snorkelers, and riders) must complete a waiver before each trip. The waiver includes medical questionnaire for students and beginners.

**What to Bring**
To enhance your experience, we recommend bringing:
✔ Swimsuit (for inside your wetsuit)
✔ Towel (Forgot one? We have Nomadix® towels available for purchase)
✔ Coral-safe sunscreen (Other sunscreens damage our wetsuits—use non-reef-safe sunscreen only on uncovered areas and wash it off before arrival. A $250 fine applies if improper sunscreen damages our wetsuits.)
✔ Water bottle (Complimentary water & snacks are available on board, but we encourage reducing plastic waste.)
✔ Motion-sickness medication (Ginger chews & Dramamine are available at our neighboring shop.)
**Parking Options**
🚗 Most customers walk from their hotel, but if you need parking, here are your options:
1️⃣ Free street parking along Ala Wai Canal (except Mon & Fri, 8:30–11:30 AM due to street cleaning).
2️⃣ Economical harbor parking – Follow our Waikiki Dive Center van to park at the harbor.
3️⃣ International Market Place parking lot – Paid parking option inside the mall.
**Change & Cancellation Policy**
📌 To modify or cancel your booking, call or visit us in person. We do NOT accept cancellations via email, voicemail, or social messaging platforms. Failed medical questionnaires at check-in will forfeit all reimbursement.
**For bookings of 1–4 divers:**
Full refund or complimentary rescheduling available if canceled 48+ hours before check-in.
Trip protection insurance allows cancellations up to check-in time for a refund (excluding the insurance fee). No-show is an automatic cancellation without a refund, regardless of last minute cancellation trip protection insurance.
**For groups of 5+ or private charters:**
Free cancellation up to 21 days before the scheduled trip. The private charter is blocked from any bookings. 50% refund in credits if cancelled 15 days in advance of the schedule trip.
🚨 Late arrivals (15+ minutes after check-in time) will result in automatic cancellation without a refund.
🔹 Weather & safety cancellations: Should the Captain cancel due to conditions, we’ll reschedule, issue credits or refund **prior to check-in. Much of the pre-dive preparation and trip planning cost already completed and incurred, with crew time and gear issued. Should the Captain cancel during the dive, we will issue a rain check, or 35% in credits.
**Diver Safety Disclaimer: Always stay hydrated before going diving!**
🚫 No Flight Window:
For your safety, do NOT fly within 18 hours **after diving. This also includes skydiving or high altitude hiking (>1000ft). If your flight is within the 18-hour no flight window and we are informed within 48 hours of your dive, we will deny participation without a refund.
🚫 Group Dive Etiquette:
By booking a group dive, you agree to follow group diving etiquette. This means the entire group will descend and surface together—no exceptions, even if some divers have better air consumption.
🚫 Snacks & Allergies:
We provide complimentary snacks and water on the boat! However, if you have any allergies, please be mindful of what you consume. Waikiki Dive Center is not responsible for any reactions from onboard refreshments.
🚫 Protect Your Valuables:
Leave your valuables in a safe place! Do not bring them on the dive. Waikiki Dive Center is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
🚫 Law Abiding:
Hawaii law requires all divers to be accompanied by a professional local guide for conservation and safety reasons. If safety concerns arise that breach established protocols, the instructor or captain may cancel the dive. This decision, which serves as a last resort, is authorized by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Safe Diving Agreement to ensure the safety of all divers on the trip.
**Equipment Policy**
We provide premium gear at no extra cost, as long as it is returned in clean, working condition. By using our gear, you accept full responsibility for any loss or damage. For dive computers, GoPro cameras, and compasses, these must be returned directly to the shop staff in person. Please do not leave rental equipment with another person or on the boat.
**Medical Clearance for Non-Certified Divers**
🩺 All non-certified and student divers must complete a medical questionnaire before diving. Some conditions may require a doctor’s clearance.

🚨 Failure to disclose medical conditions may result in denied participation without a refund. Failed medical questionnaire at check-in will forfeit all reimbursement. Although diving is relaxing than snorkeling, you must be physically fit for this sport. PADI requires all beginner divers and student divers to complete the medical questionnaire. If you do not receive confirmation email within one hour of your booking, please call the shop at 808-922-2121 immediately to verify the email address we have on file is correct.

This is not a certification course, but a guided introduction to scuba diving with our PADI-certified instructors. Expect semi-private group ratios for maximum safety and comfort.

We’re thrilled to have you dive with us! To ensure a smooth experience, please review and understand our policies. You are responsible for making any changes or cancellations **by phone** at Waikiki Dive Center. **We DO NOT accept email cancellations.** Since we don’t monitor emails 24/7, last-minute changes (within 48 hours of the tour) may not be processed or refunded.

### **Important Must-Knows Before You Dive**
1. **Flying After Diving? Plan Ahead!**
- You **must** schedule your dive **at least 18 hours before** a flight to ensure your safety.
2. **Medical Clearance is Key!**
- You must pass the [PADI Medical Questionnaire](https://www.padi.com/sites/default/files/documents/2022-12/Diver_Medical_Participant_Questionnaire_10346_EN_English_2022-02-01.pdf).
- If you have any medical conditions, get clearance from your doctor or a local clinic and then Email the consent letter to **info@waikikidiving.com** before check-in.
- **Failure to provide clearance may prevent you from diving!**
3. **Don’t Be Late – We Run on Island Time, But Not That Late!**
- Arrive **15 minutes before** your scheduled check-in.
- We’ll wait **only 15 minutes** after check-in time to stay on schedule.
- **Miss the window? Your trip is automatically canceled, and the full booking charge applies.**
4. **Change or Cancel? Here’s the Deal:**
- **Groups of up to 4 divers:** Free cancellation or rescheduling **48+ hours** before check-in.
- **Private charters & groups of 5+ divers:** Free cancellation **21+ days** before your dive.
- **Miss the deadline? No refunds.**

5. **Dive Packages – Your Year-Round Adventure in Rock Bottom Flat Rate!**
- Pre-paid dive packages are **non-refundable** in any circumstances but valid for **two years** per certified diver, including weather-related cancellations if determined by the Captain for safety protocols.
- Rescheduling allowed only with **48+ hours’ advanced notice**
- **Trip protection insurance is NOT available for dive packages.**

6. **Weather & Safety – Mother Nature Has the Final Say!**
We’re all about safety. Our experienced captains monitor weather conditions closely. If conditions are unsafe, trips may be altered or canceled, sometimes **even at check-in time**. The more you dive, the more you come to appreciate the beauty and power of Mother Nature.
- If the weather turns unexpectedly **after departure**, refunds may **not** be issued.
- If the captain **ends a tour early** due to a sudden change to unsafe conditions, a **non-expiring rain-check voucher** will be issued or **up to 35%** of the eligible booking.
