## Your Freighter Canoe Rental — What You Need to Know
**Pickup:**
If your vehicle has a 2" ball hitch, you can pick up the freighter at our Jasper warehouse. We will confirm pickup details and arrange a meeting time after booking is confirmed.
If you do not have a tow vehicle, we can deliver the freighter to Maligne Lake for a $395 fee — arrange this when you book.
**Getting to Maligne Lake:**
Drive 48 km up Maligne Lake Road. Continue past the restaurant and buildings on your left — do NOT stop there. Keep driving over the bridge and approximately 750m (820 yds) to the end of the road. The public boat launch parking lot is down the hill on your left.

**No cell service on Maligne Lake Road — load this before leaving town.**
**If we delivered your canoe:**
We will brief you on where to secure the canoe at the dock when we deliver it. Please follow those instructions for overnight camping trips.
**Important reminders:**
- A valid Pleasure Craft Operator Certificate (PCOC) is required to operate any powered watercraft. We accept proof of certification from other countries. If you do not have a PCOC or equivalent, we can complete a Transport Canada Rental Boat Safety Checklist valid for this trip only — **please arrive 20 minutes early if you require a checklist**
- Parks Canada fishing licence can be purchased at checkout or at the Astoria Hotel in Jasper
- No cell service at Maligne Lake — download offline maps before leaving Jasper
- Your waiver must be completed prior to departure
- Parks Canada camping reservation required for overnight stays at Hidden Cove, Fisherman's Bay, or Coronet Creek campsites

Cancellation Policy
You have 48 hours after booking to cancel and receive a full refund. Cancellations made more than 48 hours after booking but at least 72 hours before your rental date will incur a 10% administration fee. No refund within 72 hours of your rental date. Weather-related cancellations are handled case by case.
Important Information
There is no cell service at Maligne Lake or along Maligne Lake Road. In the event of an emergency on the water, guests should:
1. Ensure the safety of your group first
2. Contact emergency services using iPhone satellite communications, a Garmin inReach, or similar satellite messaging device
3. Text ore call our number when you are able: (780) 931-2628
We do not provide emergency services on the water. We strongly recommend bringing a satellite communication device on all multi-day trips.
