This is a great way to experience an Epic Adventure and create incredible memories.
Your journey will take you down a wild and scenic river from *Source to Sea*. This challenging full day event is not only an immersive experience discovering South Florida's local flora and fauna, it is a trip back in time! You'll begin your journey at the Riverbend Park under the canopy of old, giant Cypress trees and diverse wildlife. There will also be a break halfway through the tour where paddlers enjoy lunch at Trapper Nelson's infamous 1940's cabin by the river.
At the end of the expedition, Jupiter Outdoor Center will provide shuttle service for all participants back to Riverbend Park.

🗺️ Adventure Overview
Guided paddle from Riverbend Park to Jonathan Dickinson State Park
Stop at the historic Trapper Nelson’s Homestead
(NOTE: While we always stop at the dock, the homestead itself is not guaranteed to be open to the public)
Wildlife viewing, storytelling, and immersion in one of Florida’s only two nationally recognized Wild & Scenic rivers.
May include several short portages (getting out and walking boats) over logs and/or shallow areas if water levels are low.
Return shuttle to Riverbend included.
🧳 What to Bring
✔️ Packed lunch & drinks--there's plenty of room for a medium sized cooler
✔️ Towel and change of clothes (optional but handy--leave in the car)
✔️ Sunscreen, bug spray, personal items
✔️ Water shoes or shoes you can get wet
✔️ Quick dry clothing (no cotton) that can get wet and possibly a little dirty
✔️ Dry bag or dry box for phones, keys, wallets (available for rent or purchase)
💡 Trip Tip
This is a longer paddle—up to 8.5 miles—so be sure to eat beforehand, stay hydrated, and bring snacks to keep your energy up. During times of low water, expect to encounter a few portages—our guides will assist you as needed. It’s all part of the adventure!
🚨 Important Note About Trapper Nelson’s
We always stop at the dock at Trapper Nelson’s for a lunch break and optional exploration. However, the homestead is not always open, as access is managed by Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Even if the buildings are closed, it’s still a unique and peaceful place to relax and refuel.
