Details
Available Tuesday and Wednesday for single party bookings, and all days of the week for exclusive whole boat bookings!
Take our full day charter and water taxi boats out to Aialik Bay for 4 hours of fully guided paddling in front of the calving tidewater glaciers at Aialik or Holgate (Captain's Choice). Get picked up and the crew will take you out to the fishing grounds to target Silver Salmon and Rock Fish on the way home! Lunches, tackle, kayaking gear etc are all provided - dress in layers and bring the camera!

Duration
- Each trip includes approximately 4 hours of sightseeing on the water taxi (2 hour ride in and 2 hour ride out)
- Approximately 4 hours of paddling with glaciers in the National Park
- Approximately 4 hours of fishing for the target species before returning to the dock.
- Group/Exclusive Charter Rates include the option of a delayed start time if necessary (keep in mind the boat must be back by 6pm) or an early return time.
- Group/Exclusive Charter Rates can spend more or less time fishing or kayaking depending on the groups interest - you've chartered the boat, let us know what you're wanting to focus on!

Rates & Dates
- Group Rates for whole boat charter available for full boat charter - any day the boat is available to exclusively charter, we can offer this trip. Our smaller vessel takes 1 - 6 passengers for exclusive charter, our larger vessel takes 1-14 passengers for exclusive charter. Both depart at 6am and return by 6pm.
- Single party rates available on Tuesday and Wednesdays only at this time.
**Please note:** No Halibut may be targeted or retained on these trips as per state and federal law, Wednesdays and most Tuesdays are, at this time, closed for the retention of Halibut.

# This trip includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, hot drinks, guides, kayaks, bait and necessary equipment in the price - Please read the following before you arrive!
* **We offer the following foul weather gear** please plan ahead!
- Pogies for your hands
- Rain gear sizes S through XL
- 15 & 20L Dry bags
- Hand warmers
- Neoprene Booties sizes 7 through 13 (We recommend your own personal shoes for this trip, you should never have to step into water, we use sit-in kayaks and spray skirts on so you stay dry)
* **NO BANANAS OR ANY BANANA RELATED PRODUCTS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE BOAT!** Banana’s are bad luck. The crew **will** throw them overboard, we take this seriously.
* **Alcohol is not permitted on board** Remember, it's a boat, not a bar!
* **Please medicate for sea sickness in advance if necessary** if it is known to ail you ahead of time, go to bed early the night before and follow the instructions on your motion sickness treatment meds! Alcohol and antihistamines will have you sleeping all day, so don't plan a big night out before your charter!

# Suggested Clothing & Equipment
- **There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad equipment** - *Old Norwegian saying*
- **Assume it's going to rain** and be happy when it doesn't. The majority of the time it's gorgeous out there, but there's nothing like being prepared.
* **Layer, Layer, and Layer:** Synthetics or wool are best with a rain proof top and bottom if possible. We have dry bags you can store extra layers or spare items like socks.
* **Rain Gear:** We have extra rain gear in case you dont, but we recommend you bring your own gear if you have it. If you aren't sure about your gear, ask your guide.
* **Gloves:** Bulky gloves can be more trouble than they're worth and accidentally torque down on the drag on the reel, etc. Light duty polypro gloves or featherweight neoprene can get wet, are cheap, pack easy, etc.
* **A good hat:**
* Sunscreen & any medication you may need
* **Sea sickness meds:** If you know you suffer from sea sickness, ask your doctor if [Promethazine](https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-8895/promethazine-oral/details) is appropriate for you. If it's good enough for astronauts, it'll probably work on our boats. Transderm Scopalamine patches are also very effective and don't result in drowsiness.
* **Camera:** If you have a waterproof housing or bag, definitely bring it! On kayaking trips, cameras of course have an increased risk of falling into the ocean. Phones work great, and we may have water resistant phone cases for you to use during your trip, inquire when you arrive!
* **Water Bottle:** We will have water on board but you need something to hold it in. Let your guide know if you need a water bottle, or you can buy one at the store.

#Fishing License
Fishing Licenses are not included in the price of the above charter. We DO NOT sell fishing licenses at Millers Landing, it is necessary to purchase it in advance. You will need to show the QR Code on your license when you board the boat.

Non Resident Children under age 16 do not need to have a fishing license. If you fish for and wish to retain King Salmon you will need a King Salmon Stamp in addition to your fishing license.

#Fuel Surcharge
Please know that fuel is the largest expense we have as charter operators. Our prices reflect the price of fuel at the time of publishing. In previous years we have not added a fuel surcharge, however, due to the volatile and uncertain nature of fuel prices, Millers Landing reserves the right to add a fuel surcharge to the trip rates.
A fuel surcharge will only be applied in the event of soaring fuel prices based on the price of fuel at the time of your charter. Should the price of marine fuel remain under $4.50 per gallon there will be no additional charge.
This will ensure that we are able to take you to the best fishing grounds without regard for the cost of fuel or how far we must travel. By adding a fee schedule we can mitigate that concern, and provide you the ultimate fishing experience.

#Fishing Regulations & Species Targeted
Your guide(s) will help you follow the fishing regulations in our area, but ultimately you'll need to be aware of the rules to follow in order to enjoy our amazing fishery!
Your full day Best of Alaska Tour will target Rock Fish, Ling Cod, and Silver Salmon. You are likely to catch a variety of things additionally, however harvesting the above species will be our our main goal for the day.
