Special requirements
- Vieques is a separate island from the main island of Puerto Rico, a ferry is necessary to reach the island. Please plan accordingly.
- We recommend staying at least one night on the island because there may not be any transportation back to the main island of Puerto Rico after the tour is over.

Booking Notes
##What To Know
- We meet across the street (on the boardwalk next to Melaya's Tours sign) from Lazy Jacks/Waterside Inn 15 minutes prior to tour start
-The guide that meets you will be wearing an orange t-shirt
- Remember: 240lb limit per person on our 2-person kayaks(so 480lb max)
- The tour is one hour on the water and about 15-30 minutes added drive time for traffic and other unpredictable delays.

- Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting wet.
- Don't bring unnecessary items with you
- Wear sandals/flip flops (shoes that are easily removed)
-You will walk through thick mud
- Vieques is a separate island from Puerto Rico and ferries don’t always run after the tours so we advise you check the ferry schedule or plan to stay a night on the island
- The tour operates rain or shine. We only cancel if the weather is dangerous. In this case, we would offer a free cancellation or free reschedule.
- Please be aware of the moon schedule. The bigger the moon is, the more light interference it will cause, and result in a less vibrant glow in the bay. Even though we close three days a month during the full moon, the days leading up to the full moon can have heavy light interference. Please book accordingly and know that you are booking with the knowledge of this. We will not offer free cancellation within 24 hours of your tour if you find this out late.
**People under the influence of alcohol will be refused on our tours and we won't feel bad about it**
- Drinking and smoking are prohibited during your tour
- *If you are going to use any mosquito repellent, it has to be without DEET.*
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before your tour. We do not offer refunds for tours cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled tour time. Also, we are a separate island from the main island of Puerto Rico! Don't make a reservation with us if you don't plan on coming to Vieques! You need to take a ferry or plane to get here, plan your travels accordingly because we won't refund if you want to cancel within the 24 hours of your tour just because you were unaware we are a separate island. If you miss your ferry or they run out of tickets, that is not our responsibility! Buy your tickets ahead of time. Our job is to perform a tour. Also, our cancellation policy adheres to your original reservation. So you will not be refunded if you reschedule for a further date just so you have time to cancel.
