Itinerary
- Check In & Safety speech: Arrive to Villa Marina, Fajardo Puerto Rico.
- Cruise Along the East Coast of Puerto Rico. From this point we will have a different perspective of the Las Cabezas de San Juan Lighthouse and Las Croabas. We will also observe in the distance other keys such as Cayo Lobos, Cayo Diablo and the Islands of Culebra and Vieques.
- Destination Options:
- **Icacos and Palomino Island Option:** Approximate navigation time: 15 minutes. First Guided Snorkeling Stop and Beach Time. Enjoy time on the beach or use our floating mat while we prepare snacks and drinks. Second Guided Snorkeling Stop or take a relax time at Palomino Island. And of course we have more food & drinks for you.
- **Piñero Island Option:** Approximate navigation time 25 minutes. First Guided Snorkeling Stop at beautiful coral reef. Explore and enjoy a color full coral reef color and amazing marine life. Second Stop at Piñero Island: a relax time. Take time and relax while enjoying the impressive view of the Piñero Island while enjoy more food & drinks.
- Return to the Marina.

- The following guests cannot participate: state of pregnancy, guests with recent surgeries, guests with neck, back, arm or leg problems, guests who have epilepsy, heart conditions and/or dizziness.
- **Please note: this experience is sailed in a 27-foot boat in open water. On occasion we can expect choppy and or bumpy ride.**
- Depending on the maritime conditions of the day and the experience of our guests, the captain can adjust the itinerary and places on the islands to visit.

Thank you for booking your **Private Half-Day Boat & Snorkeling Charter** with Pirate Snorkeling Shack!
Your private experience aboard **Manta** is designed to be relaxed, personalized, and easy from start to finish. Please review the information below before your trip.
## 📍 Arrival & Check-In
Please arrive at **Renaissance Villa Marina in Fajardo** approximately **20–30 minutes before your scheduled departure**.
At the marina entrance, tell security you are visiting:

Please allow enough time for marina access, parking, check-in, boarding, and the required safety briefing.

**Please arrive on time.** Charters depart according to schedule. Late arrival may reduce your time on the water or result in a missed departure, and the scheduled return time cannot be extended.
## 📝 Complete Before Arrival
All participants must complete the required **Lease Contract & Liability Waiver** before departure:

Pack light whenever possible. Small, soft-sided bags are easiest to store onboard.
## 🍹 Bringing Alcohol?
You are welcome to bring your favorite alcoholic beverages.
Please use **cans or plastic containers only**. Glass bottles and glass containers are not permitted onboard.
Coolers and ice are already available, so there is no need to bring a personal cooler.

Specific islands, snorkeling conditions, and marine-life sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Because this is a **private charter**, your experience can be adjusted around your group’s interests whenever conditions allow—whether you prefer more snorkeling, swimming, floating, beach time, or simply relaxing aboard Manta.
## 🤿 New to Snorkeling?
No problem. Beginners are welcome.
Our crew can provide basic snorkeling guidance and help you become comfortable with the equipment and water.
Snorkeling is optional—you can still enjoy the boat, swimming, floating, and relaxing even if you prefer not to snorkel.
## ☀️ Prepare for the Caribbean Sun
For a more comfortable day:
• Apply reef-safe sunscreen before departure
• Reapply throughout the trip
• Wear sunglasses and a hat
• Stay hydrated
• Avoid spray sunscreen, which can make the boat surfaces slippery
## 🌊 Motion Sickness
If you are prone to seasickness, consider using the motion-sickness method or medication you normally use and follow its directions before departure.
A light meal before the charter and staying hydrated may also help with comfort.
## ⚠️ Important Safety Information
This experience is not recommended for pregnant guests or guests with recent surgery, serious back or neck conditions, or medical concerns that may be aggravated by boat movement.
Please notify us before departure of any medical condition or mobility concern that could affect safe participation.

The captain has final authority regarding navigation, destinations, snorkeling locations, guest participation, and all safety-related decisions.

## 🐶 Bringing a Pet?
Please contact us in advance if you plan to bring a pet so we can review arrangements and appropriate flotation equipment.

Please help us protect Puerto Rico’s marine environment:
• Never touch or stand on coral
• Do not touch, chase, or feed marine life
• Give turtles and other wildlife plenty of space

## 🌦️ Weather & Marine Conditions
Routes, destinations, and activities may change based on weather, sea conditions, or the captain’s professional judgment.
If Pirate Snorkeling Shack determines that conditions are unsafe to operate, we will contact you regarding the available options under our weather policy.
Please do not assume the charter has been canceled because of rain or a weather forecast unless you hear directly from us.

Cancellation Policy
By booking with Pirate Snorkeling Shack, you agree to the following cancellation and rescheduling terms.
### Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made at least **48 hours before the scheduled departure** are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, reservations booked within 48 hours of the activity, late arrivals, and no-shows are **non-refundable**.
Because this is a private charter reserved exclusively for your group, your reservation prevents us from accepting another booking for that departure time.
### Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests must be made at least **48 hours before departure** and are subject to availability and applicable change fees.
We will do our best to accommodate your preferred new date, but changes cannot be guaranteed.
### Late Arrivals
Please arrive **20–30 minutes before your scheduled departure**.
Charters depart on schedule. Late arrival may reduce your time on the water or result in a missed departure. The scheduled return time cannot be extended, and no refund or credit is provided for time lost due to late arrival.
### Weather & Marine Conditions
Pirate Snorkeling Shack makes the final determination regarding weather and marine conditions.
If we determine that conditions are unsafe and cancel the charter, you may be offered the option to:
• Reschedule for another available date
• Apply your payment toward another available experience
• Receive a full refund
Please do not assume your charter is canceled because of rain, clouds, wind, or a weather forecast. If you are unsure, contact us at **787-556-0104** before traveling to the marina.
### Route & Destination Changes
Weather, sea conditions, or safety considerations may require the captain to modify the route, snorkeling location, or destination.
A destination or itinerary change made for safety reasons **does not constitute a cancellation** and is not grounds for a refund.

For your safety, all guests must follow the instructions of the captain and crew throughout the experience.
This activity involves boat movement, wet surfaces, swimming, snorkeling, sun exposure, and boarding the vessel. It is not recommended for pregnant guests or individuals with recent surgery, serious back or neck conditions, significant mobility limitations, or medical conditions that may be aggravated by boat movement.
Please notify us in advance of any medical condition, injury, mobility concern, allergy, or other circumstance that could affect safe participation.
Personal flotation devices and required marine safety equipment are provided. The captain may require the use of a flotation device or restrict participation in water activities when necessary for safety.
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a participating parent or legal guardian.
Weather, sea conditions, routes, snorkeling locations, and activities may change at the captain’s discretion. The captain has final authority regarding all safety-related decisions.
Alcohol consumption must remain responsible. Guests who appear impaired or engage in unsafe behavior may be restricted from participating in water activities.
