- Minimum Age: 5 years old.
- For Beginners.
- Weight limit for double kayak 600 lbs, single kayak 300 lbs.
- The following guests cannot participate: state of pregnancy, guests with recent surgeries, guests with neck, back, arm or leg problems, guests who have epilepsy, heart conditions and/or dizziness.
- Depending on the maritime conditions of the day and the experience of our guests, we can adjust the itinerary and places to visit.

Help our reefs and oceans by using sustainable practices such as reef safe sunscreen, reusable water bottles, and reusable cups.
Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee the amount or type of fish you will see on our tours. We do not feed the fish to bring them close to visitors. This is harmful to the fish’s natural diet and it interferes with their natural feeding cycles.

## 📍 Arrival & Check-In
Please arrive **10–15 minutes before your scheduled rental time** at **Cabezas de San Juan – Ensenada Yegua in Fajardo** for check-in, equipment setup, and a brief safety orientation.
Please allow enough time to park and walk to the rental location.
Have your **booking confirmation and a valid photo ID** ready.

## 📝 Complete Before Arrival
All participants must complete the required waiver before receiving rental equipment:

## 🛶 What We Provide
Your kayak rental includes:
• Kayak based on the option booked
• Paddle(s)
• Personal flotation device(s)
• Basic safety equipment
• Brief paddling and safety orientation
• Assistance with kayak setup and launch
• Reef-safe sunscreen
This is a **self-guided kayak rental** and does not include a guide or organized tour.
## ⏰ Your Rental Time
**1-Hour Rental**
Equipment must be returned within 1 hour of your scheduled rental start time.
**2-Hour Rental**
Equipment must be returned within 2 hours of your scheduled rental start time.
**Full-Day Rental**
Enjoy your kayak until **4:30 PM**. All equipment must be returned by 4:30 PM.
**Late pickup does not extend your rental period.**

If you added snorkeling equipment to your booking, your set includes:
• Mask
• Snorkel
• Fins
• Flotation vest
Snorkeling gear must be returned with your kayak equipment at the end of your selected rental period.
## 📷 Added an Action Camera?
If you added an action camera rental, please return the camera and all issued accessories with your rental equipment.
If you purchased a **New Snorkel to Keep**, that snorkel is yours to take home and does not need to be returned.
## 🎒 What to Bring

There are **no lockers available**, so we recommend bringing only essential personal belongings.
## 🌊 Self-Guided Rental & Safety
Stay within your ability and comfort level and follow all safety instructions provided before launch.
Personal flotation devices must be worn as instructed. Children and minors must remain under the direct supervision of their parent or legal guardian.
Routes and water access may change depending on weather, currents, sea conditions, and safety.
Pirate Snorkeling Shack may limit, delay, or suspend rentals when conditions are considered unsafe.

Please do not assume your rental is canceled because of rain, wind, clouds, or a weather forecast.
If conditions are unsafe to operate, **Pirate Snorkeling Shack will contact you directly** regarding the available options.

Cancellation Policy
**Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before your scheduled rental for a full refund.**
Cancellations made **within 48 hours of the scheduled rental time**, as well as **late arrivals and no-shows**, are non-refundable.
Requests to reschedule must be made at least **48 hours in advance** and are subject to availability and any applicable change fees.
Kayak rentals are subject to safe weather, sea conditions, currents, and operational conditions. If **Pirate Snorkeling Shack determines that conditions are unsafe to operate**, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund in accordance with our weather policy.
Changes to **routes, water access, paddling areas, or rental activity** due to weather, currents, sea conditions, or safety are not considered operator cancellations and do not qualify for a refund.
**Late arrival does not extend the rental period.**
• 1-hour rentals must be returned within 1 hour of the scheduled start time.
• 2-hour rentals must be returned within 2 hours of the scheduled start time.
• Full-day rentals and all equipment must be returned by **4:30 PM**.

Important Information
A brief safety and paddling orientation is provided before launch, and personal flotation devices are included. Guests must follow all staff instructions, remain within their ability level, and use caution when launching, landing, or moving on wet and uneven surfaces. Please notify us before your rental of any medical condition, injury, mobility limitation, or other concern that may affect safe participation. Weather, currents, and sea conditions are continuously evaluated, and Pirate Snorkeling Shack may limit, delay, or suspend rentals when conditions are considered unsafe.
