#Welcome Aboard Fishing
Thank you so much for booking your Fishing Trip aboard Geronimo! We are beyond
excited to show you great times on the water. Please read through this e-mail
carefully. There's plenty of info...

⚠ **IMPORTANT** Don’t forget to go online and get your DC fishing license (if you
don’t already have one). Anyone over 16 needs to have one:
It’s easy-peezy. Just fill out the onion form and pay $13 (for non-residents) or $10
(for DC residents).

⚠**ALSO IMPORTANT - NO BANANAS ON THE BOAT**⚠

⚓ **Departure Location**
The departure point is The Yards Marina in DC’s new hottest neighborhood! Please
use the google maps link provided [here](https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+Yards+Marina/@38.8726187,-77.0004378,1538m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x89b7b9d04054b307:0xbf71946524da8097!8m2!3d38.8726187!4d-77.0004378!16s%2Fg%2F11c1xj76zk?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTEwNi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) to get to the correct gate. Please come to
the set of locked gates and as long as you send your captain a text message when
you’re near, you’ll be met at the gate.

**If arriving by car**
For parking, your best bet is the parking lot adjacent to the Yards Park and just
steps from the marina! You can certainly find street parking but if it’s a busy day,
your best bet is the lot. Be aware that if there’s a Nats game going on, you’ll want
to arrive ahead of time because it can be a mad house!

**Public Transportation**
Green Line - Navy Yard Ballpark Station is a five minutes walk from the marina.

⏰**Departure time**
Please come to the docks at least 15 minutes before departure.

**Dress Code**
There is no dress code, but my guests usually dress in 'nice' clothes that are
comfortable to move around in. We are typically barefoot or with socks only
onboard, but if you would like to wear shoes on the boat, please wear footwear
with soft, light colored soles. If it is under 80 degrees, please bring an extra layer.
It can be cooler on the water than it is on the land.

**Food / Drinks**
Complimentary water (sparkling and still) will be provided, but please feel free to
bring your own food & drinks! Lets make this a picnic on the water!

**Fishing Gear**
We'll have plenty of rods set up with both bottom rigs and slip rigs. We typically
target catfish but there have been some sightings of snakeheads this time of year
as well as the occasional largemouth bass so we'll be ready for them all! It's
strictly catch and release so we'll catch 'em, snap that money shot for you to
document your glory and send them on their way...

**Health Conditions**
Chartering a boat is a comfortable activity, but is still a physical activity. If you can
climb a flight of stairs or a short ladder, you will be good to go! However, if you
have any physical conditions that I should know about, please let us know ahead of
time by e-mailing us at cruises@FishThePotomac.com.

**Cancellation / Weather**
In the case of bad weather, we will notify you at least 2 hours in advance via e-mail
and text message. Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance – Full Refund
Cancellations made between 14 days and 8 days – 50% refund
8 days or less – no refund

**Prohibited Items**
Please do not bring any drugs that are federally controlled, even if it is legal in
Washington DC. There is no smoking on the boat.

**PS: If this is your first charter - tips to the Captain are always appreciated!**
