We'll pick you up from the cruise ship pier to begin your journey with a narrated 20 minute van ride to our dock in Ward Cove. Once there, you'll board your tour vessel for a cruise through local waters.
While underway, your Alaskan captain and their crew will share Southeast Alaska’s coastal history, native culture, and natural beauty as you journey into Ketchikan’s wild seascape on a wildlife-viewing cruise.

What to Bring
Please dress in layers to accommodate all weather conditions. We are in a rainforest, so we always recommend bringing a rain jacket or poncho!
*While guests rarely become seasick on our tour, please take the normal precautions (medications, ear patches, wristbands, etc.) if you are prone to seasickness.

**ABOUT THE TOUR**
Join your Alaskan captain and crew in rustic Ward Cove where you will board a 60 ft. tour boat to embark on an interactive voyage to Guard Island Lighthouse and back. Enjoy a heated main cabin with booth-style seating and tables, or the views from an outdoor upper observation deck. View abundant eagles and their nests, accompanied by a customized narrative consisting of history, culture, geology, wildlife, and a little humor. Wildlife sightings also often include seals, sea lions, blue heron, and other seabirds, and sometimes even humpback and orca whales. While aboard, enjoy a complimentary tasting of local Alaskan nibbles, including our favorite smoked salmon & salmon spread, crackers, bull kelp pickles, and artisan chocolate. Points of interest include the historic site of the Ward Cove Pulp Mill, Refuge Cove and its outlying islands, Totem Bight State Park, Guard Island Lighthouse, Vallenar Rocks, old-growth forest on Gravina Island, Rosa Reef, & Danger Island.

We understand that plans sometimes change. If you cancel your reservation up to 10 days before the tour, you will be issued a full refund. Cancellations within 10 days are non-refundable, except for medical/emergencies. Tours operate rain or shine. If we cancel your tour for any reason, you will be issued a full refund.
