About
This 1.5-hour Kayak Eco Tour will educate you on the amazing Hudson River Estuary and the diverse wildlife that inhabits it. The tour will also cover the history of New York City and Hoboken while offering spectacular views of the New York City Skyline from the Hoboken side of the Hudson River. Leave the stress of the city behind and get out on the water!
Basic kayak experience or at least one prior lesson is recommended to join this kayak tour. A certified Kayak Guide will provide instruction on land, the group will practice paddling skills in a protected embayment, and then the guide will lead the group out onto the river.
The tour follows the American Canoe Association curriculum and industry standards for risk management.

##Meeting Location
**Meet your guide just south of Pier 13 Hoboken at the Shipyard Marina Pier 12 entrance located at 1301 Sinatra Drive, Hoboken, NJ 07030.**
When you get to Pier 13, stand on the sidewalk facing the pier and look to your right. You will see the adjacent Shipyard Marina (sailboats, etc). Walk to your right past the dog park and look for small gate that leads to Pier 12. Your Guide will meet you at the gate to Pier 12.
**From the Hoboken PATH stop**, walk north on Sinatra Drive until you arrive at Pier 12, one pier south of Pier 13.
**If you are driving,** the Little Man Parking Garage is located at Two 12th Street, just adjacent to the marina.

*Please note that our tours are timed with the tidal currents. For safety reasons, we will not be able to accommodate individuals or groups that arrive more than 15 minutes late for the tour start time. If this occurs we are unable to refund your ticket.
##What to Wear
**We recommend wearing quick-dry clothing as you may get wet. Please do not wear cotton as it will not dry quickly and will keep you cold. A bathing suit is fine as well, but not necessary. The best things to wear are quick-dry shorts or pants and a top with long sleeves or a sunblock surf shirt
##What to Bring/What Not to Bring
**If you require an inhaler, epi-pen, or medications for seizures, heart conditions, etc, be sure to bring them.
Please plan to wear or bring sunscreen and a bottle of water. Sunglasses and a hat are optional, but it is best if these can be secured to you with a strap or other device so that you do not lose them in the water. You can also bring a bag with a change of clothes and a towel and leave it, along with your shoes, at the dock or locked in the dock boxes.
