Traverse Tall Ship Company offers the premier day sailing experience in Traverse City! Join us for a relaxing, entertaining, 2-hour Evening Sail aboard the tall ship Manitou, as we cruise the spectacular waters of Grand Traverse Bay.
Once clear of the dock, guests are invited to help set Manitou’s 3,000 square feet of sail, the engine is shut off, and the ship glides along under wind power alone. Wind and waves will determine our course during the voyage, the expert captain and crew guiding the ship to provide you with the best possible experience. You can sit back and take it all in, or become involved with the sailing of the vessel, assisting the crew with the lines or perhaps even taking a turn at the wheel if conditions allow.

What You Can Expect:
We will sail lower West Grand Traverse Bay, affording a good view of the Traverse City waterfront, including landmarks such as the historic Park Place Hotel and the Great Lakes Maritime Academy with its 224 ft. training vessel, State of Michigan.
You’re welcome to help raise the sails and steer the ship (great photo op!). Our friendly captain and crew love to chat one-on-one and answer your questions in this casual and friendly environment. Beverages and snacks are available on board all cruises for purchase. The Evening Sail does not include a meal.
Sit back and relax, or join in the fun of sailing the ship - it's up to you! Either way you choose to spend your cruise one thing is certain: after an evening of sailing aboard the beautiful Manitou, you won't wait to come back for more!

**FREE PARKING AND CHECK-IN**
DO NOT use Apple Maps to find us! They will lead you astray!
Parking is located in the lot behind the Great Lakes Discovery Center Collaborative (13170 S. West Bay Shore Dr., Traverse City, MI) directly across the street from our Discovery Pier ticket booth. Please use the DESIGNATED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING to walk to our ticket booth which is the small, brown building at the end of the pier for check-in. If you are getting dropped off by a taxi/Uber/Lyft and don't have to park, you can go directly to Discovery Pier to check-in. Please arrive 30 MINUTES before the sail.
**PLEASE NOTE**: If you have handicap/mobility issues, please call our office for alternate parking directions.
**Important Notice:** Please arrive 30 minutes early as the ship sails right on time. You are welcome to bring your own food with you, but please do not bring your own drinks or hard-sided coolers. We accept cash and credit cards on board if you'd like to purchase drinks from our bar. (13890 S. West Bay Shore Dr.). It is typically cooler out on the water so we recommend bringing a jacket or sweater with you. All passengers should wear rubber soft-soled shoes. No high heels, please!

- Our captains and crew work very hard to ensure a first-rate experience for all of our guests. Tipping is customary and is typically 15-20%. Your tip should reflect your level of satisfaction with the experience.
