Most of the boats have the 30 minute boat ride from the other Harbor, which is 1 hour round-trip.
* We offer later tours than any other boat to give you the chance to have more Mantas, and more time with the Mantas, without all the other competitors out there, striving to see the same mantas.
But we still do offer the same early tours as well
Statistic on Manta Viewing
The later at night you go the better statistically, but that is not a guarantee.
At sunset the manta site has the most boats which makes it more crowded and you have to share how ever many Manta’s their are with all the other boats.
Every hour that passes after sunset more Boats leave the site, which gives us a better opportunity to have more Mantas or more time with the mantas underneath our light board.
The number of Mantas we have every night ranges from 0 to 40
but 10 manta rays is average per night!

This is a Wildlife tour and there are many variables.
( weather conditions, manta ray sightings, boat traffic at the dock, etc. )
All of this can cause delays in the tour.
Which could make us run a few minutes late to an hour or even more late. This is just the nature of this specific type of tour with any operator.

- The Manta show is a must do for everyone, Kona being one of the only places in the world to experience the Manta Night Snorkel! These magnificent creatures range in size from 5ft wide-18ft wide and have an average wingspan between 8 & 12ft wide.

****TOUR DURATION & DELAY POLICY:
We can depart late upon rare situations.
Tour durations time and departure times are estimates — not exact.
Delays are normal in this industry especially with this particular tour up to an 1 hour late.
We will notify you if so, so you don’t show early.
Delays can occur due to:
Weather conditions
Boat traffic
Mechanical issues
Wildlife sightseeing issues
Other unforeseen circumstances
We do not issue refunds for delays or rescheduling.
Please do not schedule anything within 1 hour before or after your tour.
Allow a 1-hour buffer before/after your scheduled time.
****BOAT CAPACITY POLICY:
Minimum of 8 guests required for a tour to operate.
If the tour doesn't meet this minimum, we’ll move you to another time or day,
Not Refunded.
You will be contacted at least 30 minutes prior if your tour needs to be rescheduled.
(This rarely happens.)

Manta rays are wild animals, and their presence can never be guaranteed. While we do our absolute best to take you to the right place at the right time, we cannot control nature—and we do not issue refunds for manta ray no-shows.
However, if you don’t see a manta ray, and you booked directly with us, you’re covered by our Manta Guarantee:

You can rebook your tour as many times as needed (subject to availability), whether it’s later in your current trip or during a future visit to the Big Island.
Your spot is protected until you have that unforgettable manta moment.
Make sure your tour date is not scheduled on the last day of your vacation because we do not offer refunds for not seeing wildlife.
You can only come again for free with the policy.
We recommend booking this tour the very first day possible of your vacation so you have multiple days to retry if needed

For your safety, guests must:
•MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM AND TREAD WATER WITH YOUR OWN STRENGTH
•Be physically able to climb up a boat ladder
•Must weigh less than 275 LBS
•Not have back/neck problem
•Must be 5 years old minimum
•Must be able to communicate in English for your safety with all of our instructions on the tour.

By purchasing tickets, you agree not to leave negative or retaliatory reviews due to situations out of our control such as:
Bad weather
Mechanical issues
Minimum guest capacity not being met
Delayed / Tours running late
or rescheduled tours
WILD ANIMALS not being present
****UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE INHERENT RISKS INVOLVED WITH SNORKELING AND BOATING, included but not limited to equipment failure, perils of the sea, Physical and mental harm caused by marine creatures including bites & stings, acts of fellow participants, entering and exiting the water, boarding or disembarking boats, and activities on the docks and I HEREBY ASSUME SUCH RISKS. There is no refunds if this listed above occurs.

If you would like a refund, you must do so within our policy, which is 72 hours before the tour with a phone call only, NOT email.

The boat will depart / leave the dock approximately 20 to 30 minutes after your check in time.
Recommended to show up 10 minutes before your check in time to find parking,
please do not check in before your check in time.
if you’re late to your check in time, there’s a possibility you will miss the tour. There are no refunds.

Meet at the Tall White Rental Wetsuit Van across the street entrance of the OUT RIGGER RESORT & SPA sign with tall palm trees with Christmas lights and tiki torches.
The address provided is the correct road/street, but does not take you directly to where the check-in van is.
After you are done with this check in process at van, they will send you down to the boat ramp
There will NOT be an employee at the dock.
The crew will get you from underneath the light pole upon returning from previous trip. Please do not roam around, remain underneath the light pole.
There will be no refunds or reschedules if you miss the boat.
