**Transportation:** Please list your hotel/bnb address when booking. We will pick you up from your location within the French Quarter area approximately 1 hour before your tour time. NOTE: Pick-up times may be adjusted due to circumstances beyond our control to ensure quality of guest experiences (weather, tides, city events, etc.). For this reason, your contact information being accurate when booking is ESSENTIAL to our communication prior to your tour.

Welcome from Beyond the Bayou! Thank you for choosing to tour with us! We will be driving and escorting you on your Maurepas Swamp & Plantation Tour.
Below are important details about your activity:
**Roundtrip Transportation from New Orleans is Included on Your Tour.**
Please ensure your Hotel/accommodation address listed while booking is correct. Any changes made prior to your tour should be made via email to info@beyondthebayoutours.com or by calling/texting (504) 708-5161.
Please be ready approximately 1 hour before your tour time. When our driver arrives, they will call you using your booking phone number. Please be ready to ensure we do not have to rush any part of your experience. In the case we cannot contact you, we will exhaust all options, however, we cannot wait more than 10 minutes after arriving to your location.
The expected pickup time will be approximately 8 AM unless otherwise expressed via text/email/call the day before the tour.
**What is Included on Your Tour:**
Self-guided audio walking tour of Whitney Plantation, small boat ecotour of the Maurepas wildlife management area with an expert captain and a Cajun lunch.
**The tour at the Whitney Plantation is a self-guided audio tour. The plantation will provide a device free of charge.**
**What to Bring on Your Tour:**
- Water
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray (usually not necessary, but good to have just in case)
- Light raincoat
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Sneakers or comfortable sandals
- Camera
- Binoculars (a good move, if you have them)
- Phone charger cable (we have two USB-C ports in the van)
**Expectations Around Wildlife:**
We usually encounter a nice variety of wildlife including alligators, birds, turtles, and more. We never feed or bait the wildlife so we can’t guarantee that you’ll see a specific species.

Cancellation Policy
**Beyond the Bayou Cancellation Policy:**
If Beyond the Bayou must cancel a tour for any reason, we will contact you using email and/or phone number provided at booking. If we cannot reschedule your tour before you leave Louisiana, you will receive a full refund.
Guests may cancel for a full refund up to **48 hours before the tour departure time.** Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure and all no‑shows are non‑refundable. Providing inaccurate contact information or being unreachable on the morning of the tour will be treated as a no‑show.
**Related:**
Our swamp tours run in the rain, but **will not operate during lightning.** This decision is made by the boat captain and their decision is final. If the swamp portion of your tour is cancelled on‑site due to weather, a **partial refund of $50 per guest** will be issued.
