SunSwept Sailing offers a dignified ash scattering service and memorial at sea aboard the classic sailing yacht, Kelpie, with tranquil vistas of the Pacific Ocean. Let us take care of all the details so you’re free to spend cherished time with family and friends in remembrance of your loved one.
Pricing includes permit filing, flowers for scattering, and a framed Memorial Certificate printed with your loved one(s) / pet(s) name(s) and the GPS coordinates of their final resting place.

Capacity
Please note, while this is a private charter, our vessel has a maximum capacity of 6 passengers. Your group may be smaller than 6, but no larger please. Thank you for understanding

## Important Reminders
- We provide a floral arrangement for you to scatter in the ocean with your loved ones, if you have a special request for this, please reach out to us.
- Please scan all scattering disposition permits and attach them as a reply to this email for each loved one who will be scattered at sea. The permit for each person MUST say "Scatter at sea off the coast of Santa Barbara". The permit must be received by SunSwept Sailing a minimum of 2 days prior to your departure date or the charter may be cancelled. If your permit does not say "scatter at sea" you must refile the permit, please contact us immediately for assistance if this is the case. No ashes will be allowed to enter the water without the proper permit. These permits will need to accompany you on the day of your memorial.
- Your charter is paid in full.
- It is customary to leave your captain a 20%+ gratuity if you enjoyed your charter. If you are unsure of how much to tip, please visit our FAQ page.
##What to bring
- We'll be spending time on the water, in the sun and wind. It's important to bring sun protection, like hats, sunglasses, and non-spray reef safe sunblock.
- You're encouraged to bring an extra layer or two, as temperatures tend to be 10º cooler on the water than on land, especially during sunset. Don't fret if you forget a jacket or just want to be extra cozy we have warm blankets aboard the yacht.
- Seasickness is normally not an issue but if you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking medication prior to arrival.
- Remember to bring your camera!
- Local beer, regional wines, and water are available aboard. We do not serve soft drinks.
- Outside food is NOT permitted onboard the yacht, if our picnic / cocktail platter options are unavailable or not to your taste, please contact us for special arrangements.
- Important note about footwear: we ask that you remove your shoes prior to boarding the yacht. If you have a medical reason to wear shoes please inform us prior.
- We may take photos during the charter and reserve the right to use the assets for any form of advertising. Should you wish to not participate, please inform the captain upon arrival.
