#How to Prepare
**What to Bring for Before or After the Tour:**
• Cell phone, in case we need to contact you before the excursion or you need to contact us
• Cash for gratuities
• Towel and change of clothes for after the excursion
**NOTE:** Restrooms and showers are available at the marina before and after the excursion.
**What to Bring Onto the Boat:**
• A reusable cup or bottle. In an effort to produce less waste, each Mini Boat will include an insulated can with distilled water
• If you would like to bring your cell phone or a camera on the excursion, please make sure it is waterproof or secured in a waterproof pouch with a strap
• **DO NOT BRING VALUABLES OR ITEMS THAT CANNOT GET WET.** Lost items are very hard to find in the water, and anything you take with you on the boat will get wet
• **Please note:** We provide snorkeling gear; however, some sizes, face shapes, or features, such as facial hair, may still allow openings for water. You are welcome to bring your own snorkeling gear if you prefer
**What to Wear:**
• Bathing suit, preferably already worn upon arrival
• Sun protection, such as a hat, sunglasses, long sleeve shirt or rash guard, and biodegradable sunblock
• Shoes that can get wet, such as flip-flops or water shoes
• Contacts instead of glasses, if possible, since snorkel masks do not work with glasses. If you wear glasses, please consider straps to help keep them in place and avoid losing them
#Participation Minimum
**This excursion requires a minimum of 2 boats in order to operate.**
If the minimum is not met, we will contact you one or two days before the excursion to review available options, which may include:
• Rescheduling to another date or time that meets the minimum requirement
• Payment options for a private excursion
• Canceling without penalty
#Cancellation Policy
**STANDARD POLICY**
We have a **48-hour cancellation policy** for all excursions. Up until 48 hours before check-in time, you may change your reservation or cancel it for a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before check-in time, late arrivals, and “no-shows” will maintain a full charge.
All cancellations must be made directly with Kayaking Puerto Rico by telephone or email.
**If you booked through a third party, such as TripAdvisor, Viator, Expedia, GetYourGuide, Airbnb, or another booking platform,** you must also contact them directly to ensure your reservation is properly changed or canceled.
*This policy also applies to cruise ship passengers and guests flying into Puerto Rico. Please plan your schedule accordingly to avoid any potential for missing the start time.*
**GROUPS OF 10 OR MORE GUESTS**
Groups of 10 or more guests must cancel at least **2 weeks before the excursion date** to receive a full refund.
Cancellations for groups made less than 2 weeks before the excursion date will maintain a full charge on any spaces we are unable to resell.
Guests who are late arrivals or no-shows will maintain a full charge.
**WEATHER CANCELLATIONS**
Rain is very common in the tropical region where our tours take place. These tours operate **rain or shine**.
That being said, the KPR Operations Team will cancel a tour due to weather or marine conditions if necessary for safety reasons.
Please do not make the mistake of deciding not to attend due to weather without contacting us first. If the excursion operates and you choose not to attend, the reservation will remain non-refundable.
If you ever have questions about weather conditions, please call us before making a decision.
If we cancel the tour, we will notify you as soon as possible and review available alternatives, such as:
• Rescheduling to another date
• Booking another available tour
• Receiving a full refund
Due to the sometimes unpredictable weather in the Caribbean, cancellations may be made the same day or on-site if conditions require it.
**FINAL AGREEMENT**
We will not provide refunds, credits, or reschedules for failure to follow the restrictions and policies included here. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Participant age requirements
• Weight limits
• Health and physical restrictions
• Cancellations or reschedule requests made past the cancellation policy window
• Late arrivals
• No-shows
Due to the unique nature and small size of our groups, we must remain firm with our cancellation policy. On the day of your excursion, our team is onsite, prepared, and ready to serve you. Our time, staffing, and fixed costs are already committed, and we may have turned down other guests by holding your reserved spaces.
