About
Leaving the beach as the sun sets, we will guide you and teach you some paddling skills as we go to check out the marine nightlife around Tahunanui, Magazine Point and Fifeshire Rock (Urenui).
As darkness falls, we light up our boards and observe the moana (ocean) from a perspective very few will ever get the chance to do. We provide the boards, wetsuits, booties and a jacket to keep you nice and toasty warm!
This trip is a must for any keen paddler looking for a new and exciting paddle experience, only minutes from the centre of Nelson.
Suitable for paddlers with a little experience, however, if you are confident first timer, get in touch - where there's a will there's a way, ay?
**Please arrive at the booking time stated on the email to get ready. This is allowing time to kit you up first then 90 minutes on the water.**
If the wind is too strong to be safe on the ocean, we will contact you in advance to move your booking.

Booking Notes
##Thank you for booking with us!
We are stoked to have you join us on the water, you are going to love it! Please arrive at the scheduled time to gear up and get ready for our adventure on the water.
You will be contacted before the paddle to confirm final meeting time based on sunset and the conditions. Please arrive at the booking time confirmed to get ready. This is allowing time to kit you up first then 90 minutes on the water.
You will receive an online pre-arrival waiver from our friends at Wherewolf which everyone in your booking needs to fill in. Please complete this before you arrive, so we can get you on the water quickly.
##What to wear & bring
Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet!
We provide wetsuits, neoprene booties and a windproof paddle jacket, but it would be a good idea to rug up accordingly in layers of quick drying clothes, or your own wetsuit if you don't want to use ours.
Bring a towel, a dry change of clothes and water.
Please leave any spare gear away in the car or on the beach. We have a secure spot for keys and valuables but please note, this is left at your own risk, and we won't be able to keep an eye on all your gear while you are on the water.
Don't forget to check out out our shop [Moana SUP & Surf](https://www.moananzsup.co.nz) for a range of paddling gear too!
##What's included?
Your booking includes a paddleboard, paddle, buoyancy aid and leash. It also includes a wetsuit, booties and paddle jacket. We have some dry bags to bring your phone with you too. Plus, we have children's sizes available too.
##Where to go
Our home is at Tahunanui beach, next to the Abel Tasman statue car park on Bisley Walk. This is at the end of the beach closest to Rocks Road. Parking is free, and there are public toilets, water fountains, and showers just behind our base. Look for our red flags here by the public board washing station and you can't miss us! If we are looking closed, head up to Moana SUP & Surf Shop on Rocks Road, just over the main road.
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Looking forward to your paddling adventure :)
Team Moana
