Booking Notes

Thank you for booking an amazing private liloing adventure with Wilderness Adventures. We are delighted to receive your booking and can't wait to take you for your experience!

Your guide will be in contact with you in the next 48 hours to discuss your needs and make sure the experience is full customised to meet your needs. If you have any special requirements or requests, please get in touch at any time.

Here is some basic information to help you prepare. We'll provide further information closer to the date of your trip!

What is liloing?
Liloing is a water activity that uses an air mattress (or lilo) to float on the water and paddle places by hand, usually it involves floating down on a creek or river. It takes participants to beautiful places that can otherwise be difficult to access. Lilo's are often used by canyoners to traverse canyons. It's a fun and relaxing adventure sport!

Equipment
You will be provided with all necessary safety equipment including a lilo and helmet. Our guides are highly qualified canyoning/liloing leaders and have many years of experience. They have first aid and emergency/rescue qualifications, so you know you are in safe hands!

What to wear?
Please come dressed in layers suitable for the weather conditions. We typically recommend wearing the following items:
- Swimmers (come dressed with swimmers on under your cloths)
- Long pants or boardshorts
- Long sleeve shirt
- Comfortable enclosed shoes with socks (these will get wet)
- A good sun hat is highly recommended for the walk to the water.
- Sunscreen and insect repellant
- A rain jacket and jumper
- glasses/sunglasses (optional)
- beanie/woolen hat

Notes:
- Feel free to bring a waterproof camera or phone to capture the adventure (at your own risk).
- Bring any personal medication you require (e.g. asthma inhaler)
- You may wish to bring a towel and a change of clothes for after the activity

Location details
Liloing takes place in local conservation area in Northern NSW. These areas range in altitude from 100m to almost 1000 metres above sea level. When in the hinterland you can expect temperatures to be lower than in town, near sea level. We regularly begin the day with a misty morning. This is caused by air cooling at the bottom of the valleys overnight, which dissipates as the sun rises. Do not assume your tour cannot go ahead, or it will be a miserable day, just because the morning is misty or wet.

The site may be part of the Gondwana Rainforest World Heritage Area, recognised as worth conserving on a global scale. Please take care of this special natural area.

Participant Requirements
Participants should have a moderate level of fitness, as there may be some steep uphill sections to negotiate on the walking track to the water. You should have a willingness to get wet and cold.

WILDERNESS ADVENTURES requires each participant to maintain a safe work environment by taking great care in following all guide instructions to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the whole group.
