*Some things to keep in mind:*
- Given it is a water sport, there is a chance you might get wet, most likely by rain, so we ask that you avoid cotton in your clothing choice for the day. Best clothing choices are nylon, lycra, or fleece. All these dry fast and/or wick the water away from you. It’s best to layer your clothing; this keeps you the most comfortable.
- Some water drops off the paddles, potentially getting you wet too. Don’t bring anything you do not want to get wet or salty as everything in kayaking is semi-dry at best. We do have dry bags available for purchase if you want to bring something that you do not want wet, such as cameras or cell phones. For safety and communication’s sake you will need to have a phone with which to make contact while on the water.
- Please bring jackets, water, sunscreen, water shoes, sunglasses, snacks, and anything else you might need for an enjoyable time on the water. Water shoes are highly recommended and we do have water shoes available to rent your for your excursion. If you are here to enjoy bird watching, binoculars are recommended.
