#Preparing for your Ocean Dives
###Requirements before class
- Successfully completed confined water sessions and all requirements associated
- Purchase Mask, Fins, and Snorkel, Boots, Hood, and Gloves (student discount available when purchased through DiVE KS)
-Please come into dive center at least ONE week prior to your class for gear sizing or to purchase any items

##What to bring:
-Mask, snorkel, fins, boots, hood and gloves
-Swimsuit (We also recommend bringing leggings or spandex/polyester-style compression pants and a similar long-sleeve top to wear under your wetsuit for added warmth, early summer water temps can still feel cooler.)
-Towel and a change of warm clothes
-Sunglasses
-Water and a snack or sandwich to maintain energy between dives.
-Any necessary personal medical items.

##Dive Site Location
Back Beach – Rockport, MA
Enter “Back Beach Rockport MA” into your GPS for directions.
###Where to Meet
Look for the white flagpole surrounded by rocks and a sidewalk leading down a sloping rock wall. We’ll be set up on that side of the beach (marked with a star in the image below). Opposite end of the white gazebo.

##Arriving to the dive site
###Parking Information
-Parking is metered, you can pay using the ParkMobile app or at the meter.
-Some areas are resident-only, please check all signage carefully before parking.
Refer to the image below for suggested non-resident parking areas. (This is for guidance only, always confirm with posted signage.)

Public restrooms are available on site.

- 35-45 Min Dive + Required Skills

- Break Down Gear
Overnight: You will be brining some gear home with you. You will be required to wash and store the gear properly. You are responsible for making sure you have all the gear with you for Day 2.
**Day 2**
Dive One:

- In-depth dive briefing
- Gear Up
- 35-45 Min Dive + Required Skills
- Surface
- Debrief
Dive Two:
- Briefing
- Switch over gear/tanks
- 35-45 Min Dive + Required Skills

After the dive: As a group we will discuss where we will meet to go over how to log your dives and process your certification. Sometimes the group will choose a coffee shop nearby or to return to the dive center.

Please note we monitor the weather extremely close for the most safe and conducive conditions. At any time we may change the dive site location or may need to reschedule due to weather.
