We are passionate about marine-life and eco-tourism and hope that our guests are inspired to make a commitment to protect our oceans and marine-life too.
We ask that you do not touch coral, fish, or turtles and please, never feed the fish anything a human would eat. Help our reefs and oceans by using sustainable practices such as reef safe sunscreen, reusable water bottles, and reusable cups.

## 📍 Pick-Up & Return Location
**Cabezas de San Juan – Ensenada Yegua**
Fajardo, Puerto Rico
Please allow enough time to park and walk to the rental location.

## ⏰ Check-In & Pickup
Please arrive **30 minutes before your scheduled pickup time** for check-in, paperwork, equipment inspection, and safety instructions.
Please bring:
• Your booking confirmation
• A valid photo ID
• Completed required waiver(s)
Pickup begins at **4:30 PM**.
Late arrival does not extend the rental period. Significant late arrival may be treated as a no-show in accordance with your booking terms.
## 🚣 Your Rental Includes
Your reservation includes:
• One two-person kayak
• Paddles
• Backrests
• Personal flotation devices (PFDs)
• Applicable basic safety equipment
• Basic equipment and paddling orientation
Only equipment specifically selected and paid for during booking is included.
## 📝 Before You Arrive

The responsible renter should bring a valid photo ID matching the reservation information.
## 🦺 Water Safety
PFDs should be worn while using the kayak.
Kayaking should only take place when **weather, wind, visibility, and marine conditions are safe**.
Please follow all safety instructions provided at pickup, keep minors under adult supervision, and avoid entering the water when conditions exceed your comfort or ability.
**Overnight rental refers to the rental period and does not mean unrestricted nighttime paddling.**
## 🚗 Transport & Overnight Storage
If you transport the kayak in your own vehicle, you are responsible for using a suitable vehicle and securing the kayak properly.
The renter is responsible for the **transportation, storage, security, care, and proper use** of the kayak and all issued equipment from pickup until return.
When the kayak is not in use, keep it in a secure location protected from theft, damage, traffic, and unsafe environmental conditions.
## 🌦️ Weather & Marine Conditions
Rental availability and kayak use are subject to **weather, wind, visibility, marine, and safe operating conditions**.
Pirate Snorkeling Shack may restrict or suspend kayak use when conditions create a safety concern.
Please do not assume your rental is canceled based on a weather forecast unless we contact you directly.

## 🔐 Equipment & Personal Belongings
You are responsible for all rented equipment while it is in your possession.
Lost, stolen, damaged, or unreturned equipment may result in additional charges.
Please keep personal belongings and valuables secure throughout the rental period.
## ⏰ Morning Return
All rented equipment must be returned by **8:00 AM the following morning**.
Please return the kayak, paddles, backrests, PFDs, and all other issued rental equipment.
Late returns may result in additional charges.
## 🌿 Protect Fajardo’s Marine Environment
Please help us protect Puerto Rico’s coastline:
• Do not touch or stand on coral
• Do not chase, touch, or feed marine wildlife
• Use reef-safe sunscreen
• Take all trash and personal belongings with you
• Follow posted environmental rules and staff instructions

Cancellation Policy
**Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before your scheduled rental start time for a full refund.**
Cancellations made **within 48 hours**, as well as **late arrivals and no-shows**, are non-refundable.
Requests to reschedule must be made at least **48 hours in advance** and are subject to availability and any applicable change fees.
Overnight kayak rentals are subject to **weather, wind, visibility, marine conditions, equipment availability, and safe operating conditions**. If Pirate Snorkeling Shack determines before pickup that conditions are unsafe and the rental cannot be provided, you may be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund in accordance with our weather policy.
Once the rental has begun, **temporary changes in weather, wind, visibility, or marine conditions do not automatically qualify for a refund or extension**. Guests should keep the kayak out of use until conditions are safe.
**Late pickup does not extend the rental period.** All equipment must still be returned by **8:00 AM the following morning**.
Lost, stolen, damaged, or unreturned equipment is handled separately from the cancellation policy and may result in additional charges.
Please do not assume your rental is canceled based on a forecast or changing conditions unless **Pirate Snorkeling Shack contacts you directly**.
Important Information
Guests are responsible for using the kayak and all issued equipment safely and according to the instructions provided at pickup. PFDs should be worn at all times while on the water. Kayaking should only take place when weather, wind, visibility, and marine conditions are safe. Use caution when launching, landing, carrying, transporting, or storing the kayak, especially on wet, sandy, or uneven surfaces. Minors must remain under adult supervision. Pirate Snorkeling Shack may restrict or suspend kayak use when conditions create a safety concern.
