Paddling among the Duino Cliffs and river Timavo

Hello to all friends and adventurers,
Imagine paddling between the springs of the river Timavo, the majestic Duino Cliffs and two perched castles.

The excursions are suitable for everyone, including absolute beginners. Each trip lasts about 3 hours with departure from the Villaggio del Pescatore (Duino-Aurisina) in Trieste.

This excursion takes you on a journey to explore one of the most breathtaking areas of the coast, where the Carso meets the plain, surrounded by nature and tranquillity. Just a few paddle strokes away, you’ll experience the beauty of a region that blends sea, river, and history. It’s a pleasant adventure that will allow you to slow down, in total safety , away from the noise of daily life. 
I have both double and single kayaks available, and I will do my best to meet any requests.

The cost is 40 euro per person.

Some FAQs:

What should I wear?

• A comfortable t-shirt or long-sleeved shirt
• A lightweight waterproof jacket (like a k-way) in case of cooler temperatures
• Closed-toer sandals, rock shoes, or comfortable , affordable sneackers.
• Swimsuit and beach towel

What should I bring with me?

• Drinking water 
• Packed snack
• A complete change of clothes (which you can leave it in the car)
• Sunscreen
• Mosquito repellent
• Sun hat

Do you get wet?
The guide will assist you both embarking and disembarking. While paddling, you might experience a few splashes of water. If temperature are low, such as at the start of Spring, I raccomend bringing a small waterproof jacket.

Kayaks are very stable and it’s (almost) impossible to tip over. The body’s center of gravity ensures stability on the water, and to get completly soaked, you’ll have to put in some effort!

Do I need anything else?
No, the life jacket, spraydeck , paddle and kayak are provided by the guide.

Can I bring kids?

It depends on the child, they may get bored or not paddle. Email me and we can decide together. Please be aware that all children must be over 12-13 years old and know how to swim.

Can I bring the dog?

Only if he/she actively paddle a kayak on him/her own
