Who would you rather have as a buddy? An Open Water Diver or a PADI Rescue Diver?

Scuba diving is the gateway to a lifetime of exciting adventures, and by continuing your training through PADI Rescue Diver Course you can experience greater confidence and comfort when diving.

Whether you're a newly certified diver or a PADI Advanced/Adventure Diver, you can start the Rescue Diver Program. You'll start by learning to think like a Rescue Diver: identifying potential problems before they happen, and learning how to calmly and thoughtfully respond to a stressful situation.

Working with a PADI Instructor, you'll role play emergency situation sand practice how to respond. Along the way you'll familiarize yourself with your buddy's gear so you'll be better prepared incase of a problem.
What You Will Learn

* Self-rescue
* Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
* Emergency management and equipment
* Rescuing unresponsive divers
* First aid and CPR training can be included for those not already certified (for additional fee)

Divers who take the PADI Rescue Diver course frequently say it's the best course they've ever taken, and many instructors tell us Rescue is their favorite class to teach because of the transformation they see in their students.
What Scuba Gear Will You Use?
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank.

#Lesson Time & Locations:
The PADI Rescue Certification course Day will take place at two(2) separate locations. The First day will be in the salt water lagoon at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and the 2nd day will be at Koloa Landing Dive Site (NOT hotel). We've conveniently attached both directions and links to google maps for you.

The PADI Rescue Certification course is conducted over the space of 2 half days. We conduct the course in a ***more expedited manner*** than shops on the mainland. People on vacation don't want to spend their whole vacation on just one activity, especially in Kauai. Therefore, if you tend to pick-up new skills, concepts and learn in this quicker more expedited manner, then the PADI Rescue Certification Course should be no problem for you. HOWEVER, if it takes you many attempts to learn new skills and gain information, you may benefit by working with a dive shop back home that is more conducive with your learning style. Should you need to discuss this with our team, please call us right away: 808.742.7422.

Weather can sometimes be an issue and cause us to deviate from our above mentioned schedule. Should this happen there will be no additional charge for rescheduling, provided our calendar allows. HOWEVER, if you are struggling learning the skills required for the course, your instructor may modify your course depending on the circumstances. Should additional day(s) be needed to complete your course, there will be additional charges. Each additional day will be an additional fee of $95+tax/person.

#Check-In:
Please be at the check-in location (Grand Hyatt Kauai, found in the PURPLE section on this email) ***15 minutes prior*** to the start time of the course. Out of respect for other students, ALL courses must start on time and will NOT be able to accommodate people who are running late. ***PLAN AHEAD!*** If you are late and miss the start of the course, unfortunately you will be considered a day of cancellation and will be unable to offer a refund of any kind.** You are meeting at a specific location at Grand Hyatt. Use google maps to PLAN AHEAD so you're not late. We've conveniently attached this link in the PURPLE SECTIONS. Click "GET DIRECTIONS".

Should you miss the course start time, AND, we have the opportunity to reschedule you, there will be a $150+tax per person reschedule fee per person reschedule fee applied to your reservation.

#Course Materials
This course knowledge development is done via independent study online called "eLearning". You will receive a separate email from PADI.COM (check junk/spam folders) with instructions to register and begin your eLearning. There is NO Classroom teaching, so you will want to ensure enough time to THOROUGHLY comprehend and understand all of the material taught in this course. If we can reschedule you, there will be a $150 reschedule fee applied. If we are unable to reschedule your course, this will be considered a "Day of Cancellation" which is not eligible for a refund of any kind.*** The course materials are a purchase. Should you cancel the course (following our cancellation policy below), a non-refundable deposit of $265+tax/person will be withheld to cover the cost of these purchased materials. **24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY FOR ALL TOURS**

Dive Kauai Certification Courses you won’t want to miss! However, we do understand that things happen and you may be required to cancel or postpone your course. For this reason, we have developed a cancellation policy we feel will accommodate most circumstances.

***Tours cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled date and time of the tour will not be charged any fees to credit card on file*** (This is calculated down to the minute! If lesson is at 7:30am, you have until 7:29am Hawaii time the day before)

#Not All Students May Be Able To Complete The Course
***Our instructors are all PADI instructors who have to adhere to very strict teaching guidelines. Just because you enrolled in a course doesn't mean you will become certified. If students are not able to properly complete the course requirements per these guidelines, due to anxiety, poor performance, health issues or other circumstances, we will be unable to process your certification. Our team strives to work with each individual to help them overcome fears and work on specific skills where we identify struggles, but sometimes the expedited manner of the course is not conducive to the student. In this scenario we will modify the course to best fit the situation. Should the schedule allow additional days to help complete the course, we will do so at $75+tax per person/per day.

#Medical Conditions May Prevent You From Diving
Diver safety is our TOP PRIORITY! We want to share our passion for diving with you, but we must be safe about it. Therefore, we have sent you our "Diver Medical Questionnaire" to complete **PRIOR** to arriving for your scheduled tour. **PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FILL THIS OUT AHEAD OF TIME** and **FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS** on this form. Should you NOT follow all instructions on this form OR fail to complete prior to the day of and you have a medical condition that will prevent you from diving with us without a medical professional completing a liability waiver, we will be unable to take you diving AND will be unable to process a refund as you have taken up space that we would have been able to fill with another guest from our extensive waitlist. **If you need to be seen LOCALLY by a licensed physician, please contact: Dr Burress at Poipu Moble MD: 808.652.7021 https://poipumd.com**

#Elevation and Diving Safety
*PLEASE NOTE: For YOUR SAFETY you cannot participate in any activity above 1000' or 300 meters in elevation within 18 hours after diving. This includes driving and hiking to Waimea Canyon, Taking a Helicopter or Airplane Tour of the island as well as departing island in a commercial aircraft (even if just flying to Oahu). Our staff will have your safety in mind and may prevent you from participating in the scheduled dive. This would result in being considered a "DAY OF CANCELLATION" and therefore will not be eligible for any refund of any kind. If you made a reservation less than 18 hours prior to going above 1000' or 300 meters in elevation, please contact our office outside 24 hours to cancel or reschedule your course. If you are within our 24 hour cancellation period, the cancellation policy will be in full effect.*
