Booking Notes
Thanks for choosing your adventure with WAM! We can't wait for you to join us on a spectacular journey into nature.
Just by booking with us, you have done a lot of good for the planet, congratulations! (read on for more details of how)
Before we do so, please take a minute to read some important information about your tour:
- WAM Adventures require a minimum of 4 people to run. We almost always run our trips but we'll be in contact as we get closer to the date for updates.
- You’ll start receiving emails as we get closer to the date.
- Once you have a date confirmed, if you need to cancel, we require a minimum 7 days notice to provide a refund (please read our T&C's for other options)
##Pick up Location
We meet outside the Peninsula Hot Springs on the Mornington Peninsula. Please contact us if you would like to discuss an alternative pick up location.
##Gift vouchers
If you have a gift voucher, you'll need to redeem it at some stage by returning to the relevant tour page, selecting a date and entering the voucher code at the checkout - think of your voucher as like a pre-paid credit card
Also, we can’t extend the use-by date on gift vouchers past three years (three years is pretty good!)
##Premium Service
- We include everything you need on your adventure including activities, equipment, food and refreshments.
- To maximise your comfort we even provide you with eco-pack for the day which includes some special products from local businesses that directly support the environment. This includes free sunscreen and a towel service. You simply hand these back at the end of your experience. Its a bit like a pack you may get on a first class flight or a luxury hotel, except ours is good for the planet!
##Now for the deep and meaningful:
By booking an adventure with us you have directly helped make a long-term positive environmental and social impact by:
- Planting native trees on the Mornington Peninsula with MP Koalas to capture carbon emissions, protect our climate, enhance soil and water quality, and restore habitat for native wildlife.
- Regenerate reefs and native kelp locally with The Nature Conservancy, providing marine habitat, filtering seawater, removing nitrogen and phosphate, and preventing used shell from entering landfill.
- Support female education with The Stars Foundation which empowers and supports Indigenous young women and girls to complete education and find work.
- Protect and plant mangroves to protect our coastlines, wildlife and support blue carbon projects.
You'll find additional information relevant to your adventure on the Wild Adventures Melbourne website. Please check the website for exactly what items we recommend bringing with you on the day.
##Green is our Gold Commitment:
As members of Australia’s tourism industry, we believe a land as precious
as ours should be preserved for generations to come. As a visitor, we ask that you do the same. That’s why we’ve set some unwritten rules that have kept our backyard beautiful for thousands of years.
Passed down through story and practice, they’re how we walk gently, listen deeply, tread with care – and look out for each other along the way.
By following them throughout your visit, you too can care for Australia when you Come and say G’day.
Consider these principles a bit of local knowledge. A few fundamentals to help you respect this place and have an unforgettable stay in the process.
The Guiding Principles:
Celebrate Community
The best part of an Australian visit is the people you meet.
Shop local, engage with communities, and you’ll leave with new mates aplenty.
Embrace Culture
Australia’s cultural diversity stretches from ancient songlines to city laneways. Immerse yourself in it all - honour First Nations cultures, embrace our diversity, and you’ll leave with new knowledge and new friends.
Preserve Place
In Australia you’ll find some of the most unspoilt landscapes on Earth. Help keep them that way by minimising your impact wherever you go.
Respect Wildlife
Australia has some of the most unique animals on the planet. Take as many photos as you like but remember to give them space and respect their homes.
Take Care
We look out for one another in Australia, but it’s important to take care of yourself too. Listen to the land, respect it, and always put safety first.
If you have any questions between now and your trip with us, please don't hesitate to email or call me directly.
Looking forward to adventuring with you soon,

WAM is committed to providing its customers (you) with an enjoyable and safe trip. Trips can occasionally be affected by weather, and other unforeseen factors outside of our control (including adverse weather conditions, or an insufficient number of passengers for us to run the trip) may require us to alter routes, itineraries, fares, days of operation or even cancel tours. We retain the right to do any of these things without notice (however, where practical we will endeavour to provide you with notice of alterations or cancellations). We require a minimum of 4 passengers to run a trip and have a maximum of 8 passengers. If we need to cancel a trip due to there being less than 4 passengers, we will endeavour to provide you with at least 12 hours’ notice of such cancellation.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather, we may be unable to operate the tour on a specific day. In this case, you will be offered an alternative date. If however you are not able to attend a trip on a different date, we will provide you with a full refund. To the extent permitted by law, no refunds will be provided due to alterations to any aspect of the trip.
If you cancel a trip booking at least 7 days in advance of the trip, we will provide you with your choice of a refund of any trip fares already paid, or a credit note for a future trip. No refund will be provided for cancellations within 7 days of the trip date, however we will allow you to transfer that trip booking into another person’s name.
