**About the yacht**
[S/Y Stella Oceana](https://www.worldseaexplorers.com/stella-oceana) is the most spacious sailing vessel in Arctic Norway, boasting a length of 100 feet and accommodating small groups of up to 12 guests. This generous space ensures every passenger can bask in luxury and comfort while relishing their maritime adventure. The unique design provides a stable, gentle, and smooth sailing experience and allows exploration to remote arctic islands and fjords that are typically inaccessible to ships of similar or larger size. It features two exterior decks and a spacious interior saloon with high ceilings and windows, ensuring guests never feel overcrowded.

###Before You Arrive
- **Check-in opens at 09:45 at Stella Oceana.** The cruise departs promptly at **10:00**, so please do not plan to arrive at the departure time.
- **Complete and sign your participant waiver** before arriving for check-in.
- **Have your ticket or booking confirmation email ready** to present when you arrive.

###Your Cruise Experience
- **Welcome and safety briefing** after boarding Stella Oceana.
- **Scenic cruising through the fjords around Tromsø.** The route, distance and cruising area may vary depending on weather, sea and ice conditions, wildlife activity and conditions for the optional polar plunge.
- **Reindeer stew with root vegetables, served with bread**, together with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and cookies. Lunch is served during the cruise at approximately 12:30. A vegetarian or vegan stew is available when requested at least 24 hours in advance.
- **Binoculars are available onboard** to help you look for wildlife such as sea eagles, seals, dolphins and other Arctic wildlife. Wildlife sightings are always dependent on nature and cannot be guaranteed.
- **Warm and comfortable indoor spaces** with blankets and pillows, books and games.
- **If you booked the Hot Tub & Polar Plunge add-on:** your group will be allocated private hot tub time during the cruise. The outdoor hot tub time is generally around 30–45 minutes, depending on the number of groups using it. The add-on also includes the opportunity to take a polar plunge, along with a towel and access to the changing room, shower and hair dryer.
- **Return to Tromsø at approximately 14:30.**

###What to Bring
**If you booked the Hot Tub & Polar Plunge add-on:**
- **Swimwear** Proper swimwear is required; underwear, everyday clothing and nudity are not permitted.The hot tub is located outdoors on deck, so please be prepared to step outside in winter conditions.
- **Sandals or flip-flops** for use on the outdoor deck and in the shower. These should be clean and used only in these areas, not throughout the yacht’s interior.
- **A bag for wet items.** Please bring your own, as we do not provide plastic bags.
A towel is included with the Hot Tub & Polar Plunge add-on.

###What to Wear
- **Light, comfortable indoor clothing.** The interior of Stella Oceana is heated and can feel very warm in winter clothing, so we recommend wearing light layers underneath your outdoor clothes.
- **Warm, waterproof winter jacket and pants.** You will want to spend time outside enjoying the views and searching for the Northern Lights.
- **Hat, gloves, neck warmer and warm socks.**
- **Comfortable outdoor shoes that are easy to take on and off.** Stella Oceana has a shoe-free interior, so outdoor footwear is removed when entering the indoor areas.

###Important to Know
- **The cruise operates in normal winter weather, including cloud, rain and snow.** If weather or sea conditions become unsafe and the cruise must be cancelled or rescheduled, we will contact you as soon as possible. Stella Oceana has a heated interior where you can stay warm and comfortable throughout the evening.
- **Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.** We may encounter sea eagles, seals, dolphins, whales and other wildlife, but this is a scenic fjord cruise and is not a whale-watching tour. The Captain and crew will point out wildlife whenever opportunities arise.
- **The route is flexible.** Weather, sea and ice conditions, wildlife activity and polar plunge conditions can all influence where we cruise on the day.
- **Fishing is not part of this cruise**, and Stella Oceana normally operates under motor rather than sail during the Polar Fjord Cruise.
- **Alcohol is not permitted onboard.**
- **Additional food and drinks are not available for purchase onboard.**

###Getting Here
**Parking**
Public parking is available in central Tromsø. We recommend using the EasyPark app to find available parking and pay where applicable. Nearby parking areas can be found around Pastafabrikken, Radisson Blu Hotel Tromsø and Scandic Ishavshotel.
Please allow enough time to park and walk to Stella Oceana so you are at the yacht when check-in opens at **09:45.**
**Bus & Taxi**
Bus stops and taxi services are available within approximately 1–2 minutes’ walking distance of the yacht.
Cancellation Policy
###Cancellations & Rescheduling
**Public cruises — 1 to 5 guests (per booking)**
More than 48 hours before departure: Full refund or free rescheduling.
48 hours or fewer before departure: No refund. Rescheduling is subject to a NOK 1,000 fee.
**Public cruises — 6 or more guests (per booking)**
More than 7 days before departure: Full refund or free rescheduling.
From 7 days until more than 48 hours before departure: 50% refund.
Fewer than 48 hours before departure: No refund.
Rescheduling within 7 days is subject to a fee of 10% of the total booking value. Fees may also apply if the group size is reduced.
**Private Charters**
More than 90 days before departure: 70% refund.
90–61 days before departure: No refund; 5% rescheduling fee.
60 days or fewer before departure: No refund; 15% rescheduling fee.
###Other Terms
- Guests who do not appear or who arrive after the scheduled departure time are not entitled to a refund or rescheduling under WSE’s cancellation policy.
- WSE may refuse boarding to any Guest who appears intoxicated or is otherwise unable to participate safely. A Guest refused boarding on these grounds is not entitled to a refund or rescheduling.
- If the minimum number of guests required to operate the public cruise is not reached, we will contact you before departure. Subject to availability, you may move your booking to another departure, upgrade to a private charter by paying the difference in price, or receive a full refund.
- Our cruises operate in normal Arctic weather, including rain and snow. Weather alone does not mean the cruise will be cancelled. If the Captain determines that weather, sea or other conditions are unsafe, the cruise may be delayed or cancelled, including on the day of departure. If we cancel, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.
- All cancellations or reschedule requests must be emailed to info@worldseaexplorers.com with your booking name and booking number. Cancellations and changes cannot be processed by telephone.
