About the Charter
Step aboard the **Malama i Ke Kai**, our 36 ft Wellcraft Scarab powered by twin 700 hp engines, and set out on a fully customizable private ocean experience. With room for up to six guests, this charter is perfect for families, couples, research teams, photographers, divers, and anyone seeking a personalized day on the water.

If your charter includes diving, a Hilo Ocean Adventures Divemaster is required unless an insured Divemaster or higher certification is onboard to lead the group. Only certified divers may rent SCUBA equipment. Introductory diving experiences for non-certified guests must be conducted by Hilo Ocean Adventures staff and are subject to additional fees.
Charters operate within the greater Hilo area and are tailored to ocean conditions and seasonal wildlife activity.

**Before we head out**
- This tour boards a vessel at the harbor dock. You'll need to step aboard unassisted and keep your balance on a moving deck.
- We operate in open ocean, and Hilo's windward coast can get rough. If seasickness or discomfort means we head back early, that isn't grounds for a refund.
- Your captain makes the final call on whether the tour runs, based on the day's ocean conditions.
