If you want to book a **Combo Hunt and Fishing Charter** , first secure your date for the Peacock Bass Fishing and proceed to checkout. The system will then ask if you want to add the Iguana Hunt Charter. If so, select the fishing charter date and time (Different Day). You will then be able to complete your check out with a 30% deposit discount for the combo **2 half day charters**.

About
Peacock Bass - Florida's Fiery Fish!
Florida is well-known for its fantastic beaches and dazzling nightlife, but for those who prefer a more natural adventure, then look no farther than Florida's exotic fishing opportunities! Even those afraid of the ocean can still reel in a feisty fish originally from the Amazon: "the peacock bass".
Why Are Peacock Bass Special?
Peacock bass are originally from South America, but they were introduced to Florida in the 1980's to combat the invasive tilapia and Oscar in the area. While the butterfly peacock bass and the speckled peacock bass were brought to Florida, the speckled peacock bass unfortunately didn't adjust very well. Thankfully, the butterfly peacock bass populations took off, and they flourish to this day!
In addition to just being a beautiful fish, with green and gold coloring and a yellow halo on their caudal fins, the butterfly peacock bass is a voracious fighter. They only average between six and fifteen pounds, but they are notorious for giving anglers a monstrous fight! They are also nearly exclusive to Florida in the Lower 48 - to find these fighters anywhere else in the US, you would have to hop on a plane and head to Hawaii.
How To Fish For Peacock Bass?
Peacock Bass are one of the most popular freshwater fish in Florida. Some tips on how to find these fun and feisty fish:
- Look for structures underwater--rocks, pilings, etc. Peacock bass love to hang out here.
- Live bait is a great way to entice them, but other kinds of lures--such as shiners--work well also. The only thing peacock bass consistently don't go after are the plastic worms, so avoid those.
- These fish love the heat! While you can find them all year round, between March and May, you're more likely to find them more easily. You also can find them in the midday sun, so no need to get up before dawn!

What to bring
- **For the Hunts**
If you'd like to bring your own air rifle, you can as long as it is a .22 cal. or larger and no larger than a .30 cal. Must shoot 850 fps. Don't feel like traveling with your gun? No worries, we supply the guns, ammo and air. All guns are scoped and sited in up to 40 yards.
- **For the Fishing Charter**
Just dress comfortable
We suggest wearing solid shoes for the retrievals and comfortable clothes, it does get a little hot in the summer months. A small cooler with drinks and snack is fine. No alcohol consumption allowed on our boats. You can enjoy a cold beer or cocktail once you have returned to land.

- Expect a call or text the evening before from your guides for the exact location of your charter
- Can bring a small cooler with drinks and snack , no alcoholic beverages allowed on the boats.
Cancellation Policy
# A Policy you can trust
* Cancel by email (iguanahunts@gmail.com) at least 48 hours with Trip protection (2 days) before departure for a full deposit voucher,.. With out Trip Protection, the deadline is 72 hours (3 days) hours and full deposit voucher will be issued. Outside said deadlines will receive a full deposit voucher, that never expires
* Customers who cancel after the cancellation deadline but at least 24 hours before departure will receive a voucher for the full value of their deposit. A $200 guide fee per boat will be charged separately to compensate the guide for reserving that date and turning away other bookings, there time is valuable.
**Deposit vouchers never expire and may be applied toward a future adventure.**
* Customer cancellations less than 24 hours before departure or no-shows receive no refund, credit or voucher. The balance of $450.00 per guide/boat will be charged.
* If guide cancels due to government mandates, weather, or mechanical issues during the trip a full deposit voucher will be issued and a quick reschedule to accommodate our guest.
* Customer may email iguanahunts@gmail.com to discus further options for cancellations.
