- Shark Tooth Beach on Bird Island is only accessible by boat, and the trip is scheduled around optimal tides for access to the beach.
- Only accessible by boat, the Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge (Wassaw Island) is part of the 100+ Sea Islands along the coast from South Carolina to Jacksonville. The island has twenty miles of dirt trails for hiking and provides an excellent habitat for a variety of migratory birds and nesting sea turtles.

- Sunscreen/Sun protection
- Towels (during warmer months, you may be inclined to go for a swim!)
- Quick-dry clothing; consider layering depending on the season.
- Shoes/Sandals - they may get wet!
- Feel free to **bring your preferred snacks and beverages** (alcohol is permitted for guests ages 21+); we will provide chilled bottled water and an ice-filled cooler for your convenience (please, no glass).
>## Specific to Shark Tooth Hunting##
If you've opted to go shark tooth hunting as part of your trip, please know it involves stops where you’ll climb in and out of the boat into ankle- to knee-deep water, possibly deeper. Expect muddy, slippery terrain—and the chance to get a little wet. It’s all part of the fun, but you should be prepared for a physically active experience and be comfortable navigating uneven ground. *Please wear shoes that can be easily removed.*
