River Brewery Tour
Book your private group experience with Cedar Rock Adventures. We offer raft brewery tours down the river. Asheville is known for Beer and Nature! We combine the two. This is a fun trip to bar hop by boat. We will casually float down river and stop at some local bars and breweries. We have a cooler with ice and you are welcome to bring your own beverages along. You only need a couple beverages for the river as we will be stopping at the breweries.
Minimum Group Quantity 8
This is perfect for group events. We offer an 8 person raft and a 12 person raft for a maximum group size of 20. We are able to accommodate larger groups with advanced notice. The tour does not include alcohol at the breweries or gratuity for the guide. Recommended gratuity is 10-20%

We will relax and enjoy cold beverages and river views. We will make 2-3 stops depending on whether rafting or canoeing. We will have time for a beer at each spot and will end at New Belgium Brewery.
Parking & Transportation
We recommend parking at New Belgium Brewery and taking an Uber or Lyft to the Hominy Creek River Park. That way you can float back to our final destination. We do not offer shuttle services. It is easy to set up a shuttle with multiple vehicles as it is only a 10 minute drive. We start at Hominy Creek Park and end at New Belgium Brewery. It a 4 mile bike path connecting the two. Do not enter through the gates at French Broad Outfitters. We will meet you by the stairs to the river.
What to bring
Clothes that you don't mind getting wet, shoes that can get wet, and beverages for the trip if you like. Please bring ID, and debit or credit card for the bar.

Booking Notes

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Cedar Rock Adventures! We hope you're excited for your upcoming river trip! Below is some important info for your trip so please read in detail and everything will be awesome. If any of this doesn’t make sense, please message us!

BEFORE THE TRIP:

Packing list: Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, swimwear, river shoes (if don't have river shoes, sandals with back strap should be okay), poncho/rain jacket (optional, for the occasional rain shower), a valid ID, credit card and cash for the breweries/bars, water bottle, snacks (if you want, but there's also lots of food options at the stops).

If you have a way of keeping phones and wallets dry, great. Otherwise I’ll have a shared "dry bag" you can throw those items in.

Please do not arrive intoxicated (we reserve the right to deny participation on the trip for safety reasons). You may bring a beer or two for the first leg of the journey if you like. There will be opportunity at the breweries for more tasty libations.

WEATHER: If weather presents a safety issue (water level, wind, temperature, severe prolonged storms) I will cancel the trip and you'll get a full refund. You'll be notified if I cancel the trip on the morning before we leave. That said, afternoon rains pass through Asheville quickly and a little rain never hurt anyone, so we'll continue if it's still safe.

TRANSPORTATION (VERY IMPORTANT): Obviously, this trip doesn’t end where it starts! Here’s the best strategy to make sure you and your car end up reunited at the end of the trip:

1. Drive to 220 Hominy Creek Rd, Asheville NC 28806. This is Hominy Creek River Park, about a 10 minute drive South from downtown Asheville. This is the “put-in” (the place where the trip starts). PLEASE try to give yourself enough time to get to the put-in promptly. We are in the parking lot outside of the gates of French Broad Outfitters. Do NOT go through the gates. Sometimes there is a traffic line on weekends due the town transfer station being on the same road. Just have to be patient. If something is delaying you, let me know via a message as soon as possible. Please try to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. It can be crowded, but street parking is available. Your guide will be at the big stairs down to the river. If you go through the metal gate into French Broad Outfitters you've gone slightly too far. There are bathrooms here at the put-in.

2. We’ll stop at along the river and have a variety of options based on the day of the week and the time of day. This might include Cascade Lounge, Marquee, 12 Bones BBQ and Brewery, Pleb Winery, Wedge Brewery and New Belgium Brewery. There are food trucks at each stop. We do not provide alcohol at the stops.

3. From New Belgium, it is YOUR responsibility to get back to the river park where your vehicle is waiting. I highly recommend waiting until you're safe to drive, then grabbing an UBER or LYFT!

Finally, we need everyone to complete a waiver online. There is a link in your confirmation from Fareharbor.

Thanks for reading! Please let me know if you have any last-minute questions or requests. We will see you soon!

Cancellation Policy

Cancel up to 5 days in advance for a FULL refund. If you are unable to attend, we appreciate if you let us know so that we are not delaying the start time of the trip waiting for your arrival. If you cancel less than 5 days and we are able to fill your seat, we will issue a refund.

We will cancel tours if there are dangerous weather conditions, but we will still proceed if there is a chance of inclement weather. We provide all the necessary gear to keep participants comfortable. If you do not want to paddle in light rain or the cold, we encourage you to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance allows you to cancel your reservation for any reason up until the start time of your tour.
