Who should do a recreational skippers ticket?
Enjoy the recreational skippers tickets and earn a recreational boat driver’s licence, from the Department of Transport.
No prior knowledge is required, BUT THERE IS A REQUIREMENT THAT YOU WILL COMPLETE THE ONLINE PRE-LEARNING COURSE. (a link will be emailed to you in the booking confirmation email)

- We provide boat, fuel, lifejacket, instructor, test papers and certificate.
- You will riding in our 5 m Quintrex training boat, which is an easy boat to drive.
Skipper's Ticket Overview
- This is the most thorough recreational skippers ticket course in the South West, with the most experienced instructors.
- The course takes 5 to 6 hours and includes: revision of the theory involved in the test, sitting the test, practical training in our boat and finally the practical assessment.
- The assessment requires you to Pass (80%) a theory test and then display competence in a range of practical tasks.
- We will prepare you for this assessment and will continue to work with you on theory or practical elements until you are ready to be assessed. If you don’t pass, we’ve not done our job properly.
- **PRIVATE ACCESS TO A CUSTOMISED ONLINE THEORY TRAINING COURSE IS PROVIDED, INCLUDING REVISION AND PRACTICE QUIZZES. IT IS REQUIRED THAT THIS IS COMPLETED BEFORE ARRIVING FOR THE COURSE.
(IT WILL TAKE 1.5 TO 2 HOURS TO COMPLETE THE THIS.)**
Course Outcome
You will leave us with your Recreational Skippers Ticket certificate and be legally able to drive any recreational vessel Australia wide.
(We can cater for large groups - up to 20 people)

In preparation for your upcoming [Recreational Skipper ticket course](https://www.transport.wa.gov.au/imarine/recreational-skippers-ticket.asp) you are required to obtain some paperwork to meet the Department of Transport requirements.
***If you have booked someone else in, please make sure they read this confirmation email and the reminder email.***
##Please select your appropriate group.
1. ***Over 18 with drivers licence*** You simply bring your WA drivers licence with you on the day of your course.
2. ***Under 18 with drivers licence or learners permit*** You will need your licence or learners permit with this [Parent consent form](https://www.transport.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/marine/MAC_F_ProFormaLetterOfConsent.pdf).
3. ***Under 18 NO LICENCE or Learners Permit***

• A completed [Eyesight test](https://www.transport.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/marine/MAC_F_RST_Eyesight.pdf) (must be done by GP, Optometrist or Registered nurse) Must be done on the attached form. DO NOT DO MEDICAL UNLESS YOU HAVE A CONDITION THAT WOULD AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO DRIVE A BOAT.
• ID. (The easiest ID is a AUST passport less than 2 years old) If you don’t have a passport other methods that are acceptable are listed on page 10 of your attached [RST Workbook](https://www.transport.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/marine/MAC_P_RST_Workbook7.pdf).
4. ***IT IS A REQUIREMENT THAT YOU WILL COMPLETE THE PRE-COURSE STUDY!***
Please DO NOT turn up until you have done this!

Please study well. You MUST complete the course above before arriving on the day of your course. With the above link to the online course, you will be required to make a login. The course will take you 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.
This is your boating driver’s licence, and you will NOT be awarded this licence if you do not pass.

Once you have all your paperwork sorted you are ready to do the course.
Please use the link provided below to log in, create your own password and to access our Online RST Theory Training Course and Practical Assessment Videos. Please check your spam or trash folders in case sitting there. This is compulsory viewing before attending your RST course.
We will be monitoring your progress online and if you have not completed all 5 theory training modules and clicked on Complete Course after watching the Practical Assessment video, you will be unable to attend the course on the booked date. If you do not pass the theory test on the allocated day you will need to reschedule another theory assessment, on another day which will cost $165 (incl GST).
##What happens if I fail my test on the day? If you fail your theory test on the day, you will have to try again another day, we will re-book you for a charge of $165

Cancellation Policy
We will offer to re-schedule people for inclement weather.
If you cancel and give's us one weeks notice we will give you a full refund, or reschedule you to a different date.
If you cancel and give us less than 48 hrs notice, we will keep a deposit of $100.
We will refund you the rest, or reschedule you to another date. (based on availability.)
No shows are fully charged.
